After all that's why they were given control of Congress, if the people had wanted things to remain Status Quo the Republicans would still be in charge.

the King's bluff. Send up a bill that calls for a surge of 250,000 and institutes an immediate draft. Let them make the point that if the moron won't end this fiasco one way, he ought to be willing to go all out for whatever he perceives as victory. Let Shrub own the damn war and be responsible for the mess whether it ends tomorrow or on January 20, 2009 (and, sadly, that's the earliest it will end).
