Well maybe i haven't decided but my 12 year old daughter has.
Edited on Fri May-18-07 06:34 PM by chimpsrsmarter
She just handed me $60 and asked me if i could send $30 each to Obama and Kucinich, it's her money that she's been saving and she just decided to donate it. In turn i just bought her a shirt for each of the candidates of her choice.

Anyhow i'm proud of her for actually on her own taking the time to visit the websites of the candidates and read up on all of them. Just thought i'd share this.

1. @12 and she is thinking about the country with her wallet, WOW!
I am impressed, she could be spending that on music or shoes, but she is donating money to political campaigns.

Our 14 year old is dedicated and definitely working for the Democrats. She helps with the local club ever chance she gets and is vocal about her opinion of the current regime. But she has opted for the music over donations.

There is hope in our youth.

Be proud of your daughter, be very proud.

7. Now THOSE are Values!
When a kid gives up money for Social Justice, you know you've done something RIGHT.
That makes me want to work harder to help create what's next.

Congratulations!

:applause:

8. there are many more out there, the kids in her class talk about politics all the time
the teacher sits back and listens but says nothing and lets the kids go for it, mock deabtes, the whole thing and so many of them are actually interested, it really gives me hope.

9. That's so sweet..she takes
after her mother and getting a much earlier start than I did.

But, what a time in our history to put your money where your mouth is with your choice(s) of leadership!

15. How does she feel about precinct walking?
Kids being concerned about politics might well shame more adults into doing likewise.

16. Wow, that's terrific!
I know that my sons would never have given $60 to a political candidate at that age. (and great choices btw!)
