The worst thing about a Clinton versus Guiliani matchup would be what?
I think it would be watching the both of them try to out tough the other, while trying to out victim the other as well.

For example:

"I'm tough on terrorism, look what I did" followed a few questions by "9/11 happened to my city...it happened to my state."

I already feel like throwing up just thinking about how a race between the two of them would be all about 9/11, further serving to validate the government's conspiracy theory about the matter.

Obviously Ghouliani would be way worse than Hillary, but I really don't want her to be our candidate.

13. The worst thing would be that the Repub base will not turn out for Giuliani (so Edwards or Obama
will pummel him) but they will turn out to vote against Hillary (turning a Democratic landslide to a narrow Democratic win).

14. This does not mean I believe the contest will be HilaryVs Rudy
but here is what I would see as the biggest problem in this matchup.

Hilary will be running as Democratic Centrist.

The Republicans typically sell their candidates as Moderates
in the Campaign. Remember back to GWB. The Media never
spoke unless they described Bush as a Moderate. To Bush's
credit I can distinctly remember at least 5 times that he
specifically said , "I am a Conservative" to the crowds.
Nevertheless, the Sales Job will be Rudy is a Moderate
Republican.

Since there is essentially no difference between the two
on Social Cultural Issues--God, Guns , Gays and Abortion.
Rudy does promise Strict Constructionist Judges--Code to
RR that the Judges will likely overturn Roe V Wade.

That leaves Economic Policy,

Rudy running as a moderate will blur the lines.

Here comes the rub. Gop will find some way to make it
appear there is not that much difference between the two
Rudy is a strong warrior on Terror--Better elect him.

The danger in this matchup--It will be the easiest for
Gop to do their blur the lines.

and the world doesn't need an insane fundie in charge, especially with all the WMD he'd have access to.

28. Hillary would get the NYC firefighters to run an ad endorsing her
They HATE Giuliani whom they feel abandoned their comrades' bodies in the rubble. Then there's the lies his administration and the Bush EPA spread about the air around Ground Zero being safe. And that Giuliani wanted the command crisis center located in the WTC even though his advisor said Brooklyn, which was sensible since the WTC had been attacked once before.

But I would still come out and vote for Hillary (though not as enthusiastically as I did for Kerry) because Giuliani becoming president would be nothing short of a travesty.

Like it or not, it looks like that is going to be your match, although I don't think Clinton can win over Giuliani, he's going to solidly get the red states and that is always means a KO for the GOP
