Reasons why the Bushies are still roaming the world, free and easy. |
|
Edited on Mon May-21-07 11:02 PM by Kablooie
Why aren't the Democratic leaders in Congress taking action against Bush and his minions?
Here are some possible reasons:
1. -- They don't believe Bush has committed any truly serious offenses.
2. -- Demanding accountability would disrupt the important business of government.
3. -- Bush has dirt on all of them so they don't dare oppose him directly.
4. -- There aren't enough votes in Congress to support any action against the Bushies.
5. -- They don't believe most American people would support actions against Bush.
6. -- They plan to take strong actions but are taking their time to build a strong case.
7. -- All legal avenues for redress have been commandeered by Bushies.
8. -- They would rather wait until Bush leaves in 2008.
9. -- They are too timid to make a move if the result is uncertain. 10. -- They are simply afraid of Bush and his cronies.
Which one do you think is the closest to the truth? Do you have other thoughts?
I want to know why I hear no rumblings of any serious opposition to these criminals.

2. No. 4, Sir, Is The Professional's Reason |
|
Nos. 6, 8, and 9 have some potential, though the phrasing of No. 9 is leading to the point of distortion: sensible people do not start up fights unless they feel they have a good chance of winning, and to call that 'timidity' is stretching things a bit....

I hate to think 3, but DC is so corrupt it's hard not to imagine that possibility.

5. How about a lot of our Dems are nearly as corrupt as the pukes? |
|
Not as brazen, and drunk with power, but damn near as corrupt. Look at the DLC, and a lot of others whoring for corporate cash.
It's the reality of the campaign finance arrangement.
I saw an interview with Senator Fritz Hollings a couple of years ago on 60 minutes. He said that, the reason he quit, to fund his re-election campaign, he had to raise $35,000 per week, every week for 6 years. Then start all over again.

6. mostly 9, but a disturbing number of 1s (starting w/Liebertoad, but not |
|
ending there).
Yeah, I know Lieberbush is no longer officially a Democrat, but the deference paid him is symptomatic of the problem.
