I'm not going to take this flame bait, but I will simply say that not everyone agrees with such an extreme stand on this issue. I am one who recognizes faults but also sees significant value in the work done. You may not agree and I give you that right. Let's leave it at that, shall we?

me thinks the significance of this appearance is that the Democratic Party is finally starting to recongize there's a problem with the machines. I think that's a good thing. You might wish they chose a different person, but consider taking the broader view... I think it's good they invited anyone at all who advocates for election reform.

Beyond that, personally I think anyone who would not go to an event because of any one particular speaker needs to examine their priorities.

peace

5. I agree with you. There are great speakers, training sessions,
and entertainment.

Not bad for a few bucks.

:hi:

And a free open to the public speech from Howard Dean.

8. She is friends with some of the organizers.
At least I think so. Bev and I have had our differences, but I don't call her an a**hole.

9. I wouldn't miss the event just because she was a speaker but it's definitely a turd in the punchbowl

10. I wouldn't go
Yes, I would not go because she is there.

BTW, she is NOT a Democrat. It sure seems odd that she is part of this.

11. Were you going?
I think the organizers probably have reasons. I was not going anyway as it is just too far this time.

7. :-) Reasoned debate. And your points are well taken. Thanks for
your post. You could have just shrugged off my cogently challenged post, but instead you responded and offered your own enlightenment.
