Edwards Leads McCain, Giuliani
Edwards Leads McCain, Giuliani in U.S. Race
Angus Reid Global Monitor
May 23, 2007

----
Democrat John Edwards holds the upper hand against two prospective Republican presidential nominees in
the United States, according to a poll by Rasmussen Reports. 48 per cent of respondents would support the former North Carolina senator, while 41 per cent would vote for Republican Arizona senator John McCain.

Edwards holds a two-point edge in a contest against former New York City mayor Rudy Giuliani.

On May 18, Edwards urged the federal government to authorize a pay raise for U.S. troops, saying, "The Department of Defence has already extended tours in Iraq from 12 to 15 months—a decision that I have said borders on the unconscionable. I believe we need to do everything we can to better stand by those who stand by us—and we can start with improved pay and death benefits."

1. Thank God and good for the Dems that the Republicans are such sorry candidates........
I don't even know why Guliani is even running! It's not like he's gonna end up as the Republican candidate or anything....and McCain is as old and decrepted as Methuzela . These two won't happen, ever. period.
