I'm too old to be giddy, but......the thought Al Gore is going to surprise
us and make a bid for the Presidency makes me feel that way. I hope it isn't just wishful thinking on our parts but it would certainly lift my heart. My question in my head is this: What will be the reactions from Hillary, Obama, Edwards and Repub candidates? I mean think about it, these candidates on both sides of the aisle are deeply invested in their campaigns and an Al Gore in the race could wipe everything out.

This is where my giddiness comes in. Rudy and McCain?? Can you imagine their reactions? Hillary, Obama, Edwards and others on the Dem side.... Hillary would have to realize (along with Bill) that their dream would be over, at least to my thinking.

Al Gore is a very intelligent, charismatic man. His calmness in demeanor and thinking is a breath of fresh air. Al Gore's knowledge of history and his appeal globally is a huge asset. I'm hoping after the launching of his book settles down he will come to the conclusion the time is right to announce his candidacy.

I'm giddy, hopeful and look forward to his giving us a Labor Day present...

1. My first reaction would be....finaly justice would be done
In that he would receive the presidency that we elected him too in 2000
But on second thought not so much justice in that he would be required to clean up a horrible mess this country is in and lead us to a saver and more friendly world. Justice is not having to clean up after a thief and lier.
But if he was willing to do it I would put my trust in him and do every thing I could to help him.

4. In a perfect world,
The candidates from the democratic side would all concede, agreeing that the best choice for the good of this country, is Al Gore, and they would all make public commitments to working toward that goal. Then Al Gore would pick one of the 3 as his running mate (John Edwards), ask Bill Clinton to be his Secratary of State, Wes Clark as Secratary of Defense, and find cabinet positions for Obama and Hilary. Then they would all work together to attempt to repair the damage that has been wrought these last 6+ years. That is my dream.

9. Watching him on Larry King last night, I personally got the feeling
that he is going to enter the race at some point. Just a feeling, but with some clues. He said that he didn't understand why the recent necessity to have these "eternal elections"...that we were 500 days away from election day...that he was the person that never liked to put up Christmas decorations the day after Halloween...that he didn't feel that any candidate who decided to get into the race at a later date, especially a qualified candidate, would have any problem with being properly vetted...that the msm was behind these long drawn out elections for the sake of selling their product (that was more implied than actually spoken).

I don't know...I came away with a good feeling.
