Do you think Dems are caving in because of Memorial Day? |
|
Afterall - it's time for vacation. They want to get out of there on Friday.
Who has time to fight for the troops?
Why else would they give up so easily, after the strong fight they gave last week ??

Because they are chickenshit Democrats who have been down so long that they have lost their collective nerve.
And the WH has the goods on everyone.

7. More time? What do you mean? |
|
They have all the time in the world. They are in charge on both houses of Congress, for God's sake. They don't HAVE to recess for a vacation. Have they ever not taken a vacation while you and I often have had to cancel or postpone ours? Their vacation is more important than 'the troops'?? Evidently yes!

|
They fought so hard last week, now they are handing * what he wants and getting it to him before Memorial Day break. I don't know what else to think.

Nancy Pelosi and Harry Reid still control when the House and Senate recess for a vacation. They could have refused to do that and kept working on the funding bill rather than cave so they could all go home. Who gives a $hit what * wants. There is no excuse for what happened yesterday.
Wait till September and they'll be 'saving their strength' for December, unless this has been a wake-up call that they all might get voted out.

10. I have an even sicker feeling. |

I know of few people who don't have something in their or their family's past that they wouldn't do just about anything to conceal.
And I believ the Rove machine has such serious stuff on the Congressional leadership that they can periodically play the trump card.

Do we not remember J. Edgar Hoover the former director of the FBI?, he did as well so if Rove is trying to blackmail Democrats it wouldn't surprise me.

Because sadly at this point if I were the Democrats I would kiss Joe's ass if it meant keeping the majority because if he does switch over this you can kiss getting out of Iraq by 2008 goodbye completely because with the Repukes calling the shots in the Senate any type of withdrawal would be out of the question and it would be replaced by legislation that will outlaw gay marriage and flag burning not to mention bills that benefit credit card companies.
That's why it's vital to get out of Iraq and to weaken Holy Joe's sphere of influence on Senate Democrats it's VITAL to elect more Democrats in 2008. How I see it the Democrats will gain Colorado but lose Louisiana and at best we can gain three seats: Minnesota, New Hampshire and Oregon.

ever learn they need a forceful intelligent spokesman who can give as good as we get. 20% of the people support Bush and his war and we can't come up with a way to throw his words back at him. It's not like the people love him and believe a word he say. Maybe the reason our fearless leaders don't do this is because they are just plain chicken and don't deserve our votes.

because they dont have the votes. If they dont send any funding Bush would leave the troops there with or without proper funding until the funding did come and the public would turn against the dems and towards Bush. We would then get a republican congress and president in 08 and have no chance of ending this war until the repukes say so.

'cause they're cowards...
They're such chicken-shit little ciphers. Most of them don't know what it's like to have power (it's been 12 years in the House), they're getting their power high and are scared shitless of losing it.
Very few of them are "states-people", few are articulate, and few have well developed sets of ethics.
Dog, it would be soooooo freakin' EASY to beat back the pukes. The worm has turned and the Dems are too scared to notice.
