6. he is earning mine, as well.
I have always admired richardson, and he would be quite capable.

but this issue will be a defining moment. If any candidates fail to respond, to issue position papers, to answer the nagging questions, they lose. I suspect hillary is having diarrhetic-based spasms at this moment. Oh my, a REAL DECISION, without the polling data?

2. Biden will be voting for it, I heard.
Hillary hasn't said; probably waiting to hear from the consultants and focus groups.

This might be some kind of turning point -- I think Edwards and Dodd will pick up a lot of grassroots support for coming out against the funding bill while the rest of them waffle, mumble and make excuses.

13. He was terrific
He has more guts in his little toe than the rest of them have in their whole body. If Hillary was Pres and a major city was bombed would she take a poll first?

7. You know, I really don't care any more. If he comes out strongly against the war
and against the appropriation, good for him. I'm supporting an antiwar candidate who can win, and he could be the one. At least he acknowledged he was wrong to vote for the IRW, which is more than Hillary has done.

15. And Clark cheerleaded for Bush, Cheney, et al. at a GOP fundraiser when they were popular
Edited on Wed May-23-07 09:35 PM by draft_mario_cuomo
You never hear Clark2008 mention that although Clark2008 is quick to always bring up Edwards mistakes on Iraq 4-5 years ago. It is 2007. Edwards is dead right on Iraq now. Some were correct five years ago but are now wrong, others have been consistently wrong for five years. What is clear is that we need to vote based on who is correct now, not forever live in 2002.

16. Yep. I said the other day that "a landslide awaits" the candidate,
Dem or Republican, who will oppose Bush strongly and well and unfailingly.

(Keith must've read my post. cough, cough)

20. you might be on to something
Depending on the vote this week he may vault to #1 without doing anything. As for you Edwards supporters, he fucked up numerous times and made bad votes, he has no moral claim to the vote. His posturing now is just that POSTURING, get that pretty boy out, he had his opportunity based upon his looks and he screwed it up. Go live in your 30k house and shut the fuck up. Obama's will be judged this week. If he fails the Gore is primed to walk right in and take the whole thing with out any effort. (there just might be a god)

19. I suggest reading the parts of "The Assault on Reason" which discuss the run up to the Iraq war
Or Smirk in general.

Or any of Gore's political speeches given on Iraq, starting with his first major speech arguing against the invasion, given in Sept. 2002

22. KUCINICH KUCINICH KUCINICH KUCINICH KUCINICH
Why didn't KO mention that Dennis Kucinich has been AGAINST THE WAR FROM THE VERY FIRST, and has been speaking out about it, and about the atrocious "deal" for oil that this administration is laying on the Iraqi people?

Dennis has been right all along. The only reason he's not a "top tier" candidate is because he hasn't sold himself to the military industrial complex (same guys as the media) . Dennis is NOT A WHORE, and he has consistently been the ONLY one that is not.

I might also add that Gravel REALLY kicked butt about the war. But the guys on teevee don't think Kucinich and Gravel are going to play their war games...and they're absolutely correct.
