We are the only hope for the Democratic Party... |
|
We are the only hope for Democracy. The common man and woman need to reclaim democracy by holding the positions of office. We cannot support corporate sponsored candidates any further. We need to rid the world of politicians, for they will bring us nothing but doom. What wre we doing to change fascist corporate America? What can we do?

5. For starters, we need to stop supporting as many multi-nationals |
|
with our $ as we possibly can. Understandably, this will be tough, & impossible in certain markets. America needs to "bite the bullet" and learn to DO WITHOUT UNNECESSARY STUFF! Especially w/China trying to poison us & our pets w/products we import from them; avoid buying those items produced there when possible. This will help return our jobs & stop the flow of $ to support their military. Perhaps Americans will learn to DO stuff for themselves again like we did pre-Raygun.

6. I'm ready to turn my car over and start it on fire. |

Those are good suggestions. It's funny how honest, decent people like Jimmy Carter are buried and smeared. I wonder how that smear campaign started? Thank you "liberal" media. I wish the American public would turn off their porn, burn their Nascar shirts, put away the beer and actually take part in democracy. Those who do not participate are not only foolish, but selfish.

8. Yes, foolish & selfish. However, |
|
the last 27 years have found Americans completely distracted from the political landscape. It began when they started "dumbing down education", along w/a snobby attitude that "the common man" need not participate, "just let THEM take care of that confusing & controversial arena of politics". The ole' "trust me" routine promoted by Raygun. His administration was also responsible for the super competitive trend which created the yuppies. You weren't worth anything unless you were in all out pursuit of the almighty dollar. In that vein, we began the workaholic trend & are now caught in that web & cannot escape. We also lost our inventive and self-productive qualities, because we were too tired to pursue those interests. It turned our entire economy upside-down.
Most people today cannot: grow any of their own food (or prepare it for that matter!), work on any type of mechanical device, sew their own clothes, etc. In the '70's these things still were common place. The loss of these skills has made us DEPENDENT on other countries, who HAVE developed these skills. We essentially lost the ability to take care of ourselves. A tremendous loss.
This was such a devious plan. Concurrently, they were busy "buying up the media" to promote only the agenda they desired. We were so busy WORKING that we didn't have time to keep up with the workings of the political arena, so they could do as they pleased, because noone was watching the store for us.
Such is the devolution of the United States.

10. Support the Democrats that have been speaking out from the start instead of slamming them |
|
for what happened five years ago. Including the ones that have been speaking out more than others, meaning the ones that have been on Bush's ass since he stole office six years ago.
JMHO.
