Is that like Gonzo's "I don't recall"?

12. You never say "I think"?
Do you just know things without thinking? How does this process work?

When people share an OPINION they tend to start with,"I think".

Jeez...someone says "I think" and you compare them to Gonzo. :eyes:

I still hope Obama winds up voting against it but it is clear how Hawk Clinton will vote...

I was watching last week when this bills passage cleared the senate. Obama was actualy the chair that day .... he looked so bored, like this is so routine, ho-hum.

3. Both will vote against it once they're assured that it will pass
They're not stupid. They want the issue to use against a potential Rethug opponent, but they know that a vote for this collapse will end their campaigns.

Which way do you hope she does vote? Seriously, i'm curious.

For the record, i predict Hillary will vote "yea" and Obama will vote "nay" which would go against your "follow the leader" nonsense... But we'll see.

19. You never fail to miss the mark!
With barely 2 yrs of legislative experience, Obama is nothing more than an intern following the leadership of an extremely popular candidate who knows what she's doing and why she is the indisputable front runner bar none!

48. What is this Clinton obsession with interns?
If it isn't Bill treating his employee as an intern to be sexually taken advantage of, or this declaration that an African-American US Senator, a peer, is to be spoken of as some office intern and disrespected to boot, one could say that perhaps the Clintons have a problem with misogyny and "white man's (or woman's) burden."

To put it in the other shoe, what you are said is akin to referring to Hillary as Senator Byrd's door mat.

38. Obama is not her peer. He is not an equal in her accomplishments and strength..
The only thing they have in common besides a general party affiliation
is they can cast one vote 'aye' or 'nay' when a Senate vote is called for.

She Leads, Obama follows..

Edited on Thu May-24-07 03:06 PM by Tellurian
a fellow Congress person would have been a better choice of words.

I didn't write the Dictionary..Webster did- you can look up the word "peer" and read for yourself the exact definition and how it doesn't apply, imo anyway.

9. If Obama's past record holds, Obama will vote however Hillary votes.
TPM Compare And Contrast: Hillary And Obama's Votes On Iraq

Of the total of 69 votes we compiled -- some significant, some not -- it turns out that the two differed on only one.

As you can see, Clinton and Obama have voted the opposite way on only one vote on our list: The confirmation of General George Casey to be Chief of Staff for the Army, held just this past February. Hillary voted against confirmation, while Obama voted to confirm.
