2. It was a big deal for me |
|
Gave me closure on the general and got my hopes up that Clark would be on the ticket, which will make me work for Kerry not just vote for him.

11. Same here, I would work for the ticket if Clark is on it. |
|
Otherwise it'll just be a little money and my vote.

3. It means he truly believes in unity of the party |
|
It does not mean I will vote for Kerry in my primary (unless, like someone else said, things change and my vote is actually needed - fat chance of that). But, it does mean that I will stand united against the real enemy - George W. Bush.

4. I'll vote for the nominee, just like always |
|

Although Kerry was my #2, I'm not working for any other campaign.
I will support him as the Democratic Nominee, and god knows he doesn't need my help getting it, at this point.
Clark's endorsement isn't going to make much of a difference as most do not. Clark supporters where more likely to go to the Kerry camp, if any, regardless. Clark stumping for him in the GE will help him, though.
*edit* I'm voting Clark in the primary. It won't effect Kerry, but it will make me feel better.

7. Kerry was my #2 anyway |
|
I thought today was great. Kerry plainly respects and admires Clark and the career he's had. It was a very gracious performance by JFK.
After all the ridicule Clark received from the mediocracy during the campaign, it meant a lot to this Clark supporter to see him treated that way in such a high-profile setting.

9. I'm not wild about Kerry but what can be done about it? |
|
Kerry will be the nominee, everything after this point will be just jockeying for the convention.

10. I'm still voting for Clark in my primary - I'll be damned if I give up |
|
my opportunity to cast my vote for Wesley Clark.
BUT
Having said that, I really enjoyed his endorsement of Kerry today. It was hearty and energetic and I really see something there. The two of them look like a SOLID GOLD ticket together. I loved Clark's joke "permission to come aboard sir, the army is here."
LOVED THAT.

12. It makes me like Kerry less, for some reason. |
|
I really liked Clark up until now.
I don't know why this bugs me.
I think I'd like to see an Edwards/Kucinich ticket. Both are anti-NAFTA and are for fair trade. I don't trust Kerry on fair trade. And Clark's statement about outsourcing tech jobs "let them do the software in India" doesn't make me think he'd be much of an influence.

13. No. Kerry was always my ace in the hole if Clark didn't win. |
|
If Clark had of endorsed someone other than kerry I would not have changed my mind because of Clark.

How could that be?
What would it mean?
Should I just go take a nap?

15. Not anything to me personally, but |
|
it means Clark is serious about having an active role in the Democratic Party--which makes me happy.
I have realized that I would like for him to be an active part of the presidential ticket, even if he isn't in the top spot. I didn't want him to be vp at all until yesterday when I read that he was going to show he was a team player and endorse Kerry.
Does it make Kerry more palatable and make me feel more enthusiastic about him? Not really, unless Clark is on the ticket which I'm seeing now as a definite possibility.
Primary vote--Clark General election vote--nominee (evidentally Kerry)

16. It's only February and we don't see the future |
|
The future could be Kerry/ or Edwards/ or Dean/. Against Bush/Cheney or Cheney/Powell or Bush/Rice. Clark's endorsement means nothing to me, but if the ticket becomes Kerry/Clark due to this endorsement, I hope it's not a close race because I'd rather stay home that day. :(
