If they vote for Bsh's bill tomorrow, will you continue to support them regardless?

2. I will be VERY unhappy
and it is very likely I would change to undecided. I'm not warm on John "IWR" Edwards, so that would be no victory for him.

6. I'm not supporting anyone yet (though Biden is off my list, anyway)
But I won't decide based on one vote.

If one of the remaining two opposes the bill, it'll influence me strongly. If both support it, I'll be pissed at both, but I'm not going to vote for Edwards barring some miracle to make me believe I can trust him this time around (some of us have not forgotten how aggressively he attacked the anti-war forces in 2004). And I won't vote Republican/Green/Third Party. So I'll probably single out a less popular candidate for support. Maybe.

Dunno. I hope they oppose it. I hope it fails, I hope the government shuts down until Bush brings them home. I just doubt we'd actually be able to pull that off.

The person I hate in all of this is Bush. Well-meaning politicians are trying to find the right thing to do, and while I disagree with a lot of them on a lot of issues, I can't forget whose fault all this really is. So while Clinton and Obama piss me off, and while Edwards runs around pretending he wasn't saying exactly the opposite three years ago, all I can think is that we have no good options on Iraq, and will have none while Bush is in office.

Bush is the real enemy. The cave-divers in our own party are infuriating, but Bush is the real enemy.

9. I'm going to look more seriously at Dodd and Richardson but
pray for Gore.

I'm with you on Edwards. I don't trust him.

10. Sounds like me.
I'd like to see more of Dodd and Richardson. If Clinton votes for this bill, I'd like to see Gore in the race. Otherwise, I think she fills the same basic role he would.

Obama--I like him, I just don't think of him as experienced enough. Eight years as a state senator does nothing for me, so he's been in the federal government for three years now. I just don't think that gives him enough experience to know how to handle national politics. I could change my mind on him, still, but that's where I stand. So far. There's a long way until March, though, which is, I think, when our primaries are.

11. no more unconditional support from me
I'll no longer hold my nose and vote for the Dem party nominee regardless of who it is.
If they don't fight against this pathetic capitulation why should we think they have any moral fiber worth voting for?

This is a litmus test for me.
I have near zero confidence left in the Democratic Party, and unless there is a loud groundswell on the floor about this I'll be happy to see the party split.
(and it seems there is strong indication it may do so)

The Democratic leadership isn't representing the party.
The individuals that support this capitulation, IMHO, should be thrown under the bus.
If the DNC doesn't respond properly they should be thrown under the bus next.

I'm sick of compromising my morality in the voting booth.

12. Biden has my support
He has the only real plan and it is a good one. I'll take that over a vote to make a statment and no plan. This bill will pass even if all of our candidates vote No. If you are going to make a political calculation make for the general election voters who will buy into the doesnt support the troops garbage. Dodd, Richardson, and Edwards recent hard pushes to get out are political plays just like the others. This bill passes with or without their votes. Now who has the right plan to lead us out of Iraq if they get the presidency? I know Biden does, how about the others?

13. I'm not that diehard, I'll not support any rubber stamp candidate
We are getting the shaft from our party. Why in the Hell are they still afraid of the bone-headed
president? They've already forgotten just who they're supposed to be working for. Instead, they're
war-mongering along with Cheney & Bush. :evilfrown: :evilfrown: :evilfrown: :evilfrown: :spank: :spank: :spank: :spank: :spank:
