3. Saw a few blurbs yesterday about Sestak and how he was compelled to "support the troops" this time.
Despite intense pressure from anti-war organizations, Sestak said he would vote for the measure. "The fact of the matter is we have to fund the troops," he said, shrugging off the prospect of facing political consequences. "I've had my 31-year career. This is my passion."

2. 62% of Democrats voted NO
It's the DLCers and the party leadership that should earn our wrath. Not the party as a whole.

27. We are not being represented properly.
They have divided us. Through fear. Through inaccurate media broadcasts. Through caging. Through lies.

Otherwise, a vast majority of this country is not conservative.

26. Murtha said he voted for it so that the troops do not suffer
Some have suggested that since the president refuses to compromise, Democrats should refuse to send him anything. I disagree. There is a point when the money for our troops in Iraq will run out, and when it does, our men and women serving courageously in Iraq will be the ones who will suffer, not this president.

31. Suffer how?
That is all just a bunch of crap to sell us on the idea that if we take money away to fund this occupation that the troops will run out of food and ammunition and will have to hunker down and be killed.
That is all just bull shit...No general in his right mind would put his troops in such a position unless the situation was critical. If bush were to run out of money for supplies the generals would just evacuate the troops out of harms way in an orderly fashion and that would be that.
No it appears at least some of the Democratic leadership is co operating with the rethugs to sell us on something diferent...I think they call it bait and switch.

to sellout to Bush. What a leader. NOT!

What is the real story of Madame Squeaker? Why did she slay Murtha?

as part of this same funding bill.

Along with a number of other measures that will benefit low and middle income people.

This is the part I hate about politics.
