Edited on Fri Feb-13-04 02:46 PM by quinnox
If Kerry ends up winning the nomination, who will you vote for in the general election?

1. You want to ask people in the middle, moderates, and liberal Republicans
that question. You don't want to ask DU'ers that question.

2. Of course I will vote for Kerry.
Even though I don't care for him, or his political approach to policy.

3. I'm not an idiot; if Kerry is the nominee, I will vote for him
I just think there were much better candidates than John Kerry. It boggles my mind that we will be running someone who voted for IWR and the Patriot Act. It's very disheartening.

10. Don't forget his votes for the Department of Homeland Gestapo
and No Rich Child Left Behind.

As the Chicago Public Schools are forced to cut $100 million from its budget -- a move that almost inevitably will mean teacher firings.

4. The lesser of two evils ...

The lesser of two evils (John Kerry) is still better than PURE EVIL (George W Bush).

7. Of course I will vote for Kerry
Even though here in Texas that's going to be pretty much the same thing as a protest vote anyway.

But the Democratic Party needs to be rebuilt here. Over the past decade we've lost every statewide office and control of both houses of the legislature. I've been redistricted into Rethug districts for state representative and senate. In the next Congress I will no longer be represented by Lloyd Doggett, one of the best damn LIBERAL Democrats but by a loathsome toad named Lamar Smith.

Sorry if I'm still one of those ANGRY Democrats. Sorry if I was attracted by the ANGRY candidiate. Sorry if I'm still too ANGRY to climb on the Kerry loveboat. Sorry if my ANGER makes me eligible to be purged.

Only parties in power can carry out purges. Want to purge me? Bring it on.

22. Democrats aren't funded by FAUX News
nor do they support PNAC policies.

Why did most people on this board condemn Joe Lieberman for openly embracing the PNAC agenda, yet glorify Kerry for doing so behind their backs?

...so since that's true, you may as well start ignoring my opinions of what I'd rather have in a President now.

21. HOWARD DEAN
I also would consider Edwards. I would vote for Kucinich if I thought he had a snowball's chance in my living room. I would have also considered Clark before he signed on with Kerry.

Realisitically, that leaves Dean & Edwards. Or myself. why settle for a lesser Evil?
