It's a wrap, Hillary is the 2008 candidate
in Hawaii:

Inouye joins Clinton camp

By Derrick DePledge
Advertiser Government Writer

U.S. Sen. Daniel K. Inouye, Hawai'i's most prominent Democrat, has formally joined the presidential campaign of U.S. Sen. Hillary Rodham Clinton.

Inouye has been chosen to lead a national steering committee of military veterans for Clinton. This could help Clinton with veterans nationally and may also offset the popularity of Hawai'i-born U.S. Sen. Barack Obama among Democrats in the Islands.

Inouye, who was awarded the Medal of Honor for his bravery in World War II, where he lost his right arm in battle, will also advise the Clinton campaign on veterans' policy issues.

"She has been a tireless advocate for our soldiers and veterans, fighting for life-saving body armor when they deploy, and the healthcare and benefits they deserve when they return home," Inouye said in a statement released yesterday by the Clinton campaign.

2. Inouye's an icon--maybe one of the last WW2 vets in Congress. But...
He doesn't hold that much sway in the country. This is still an open race.

Oh, and can we please quit calling Senator Clinton "Hillary"? She's a US Senator and has a last name just like everyone else. It's disrespectful.

24. Interesting that you
refer to Obama as "O Bomb A". I thought the play on his last name was pretty much limited to the far right. Rush has some fun terms for Obama that you might want to check. They could come in handy for you.

12. hey friend
I thought I made it clear I was being sarcastic.

I can't stand Hillary and will never vote for her.

So many reasons why, so little time or energy to enumerate.

21. Look, you can SAY you'll never vote for her. You can believe it, too. But the truth is....
When November '08 rolls around and it's a 50-50 split between a moral compromise like Clinton and four scary more years with Romney or Thompson, you'll do the right thing. You may have to hold your nose, but politics is usually about the lesser of two evils.

And frankly, Clinton isn't really evil, just banal. And Romney's best hope.

28. Oh, I can say it because I mean it
I will never vote for her. Doesn't matter anyway. The state I currently call home hasn't gone in the Democratic column for president in my lifetime and I'm over 50! She's so hated here, there's no way she'd ever walk off with our 7 electoral votes.

Been a Democrat since I heard JFK's inaugural address in 1960.
Lived in Washington, DC for 40 years and saw the change in political climate up close
Have given up on the national level but will support some local yellow dogs

Flame and chastise all you want ...

22. Where did you get "65%" from? Did she even get 65% in New York?
She's the only major Democratic candidate who's still losing in head to head match ups against Republicans. She's their best hope. Do you think it's an accident that Murdock, Fox, Matthews, and Russert have been hyping her for the past six years?

Sixty five percent--geeze. If you're trying to gin up a bandwagon effect for her, at least try not to insult our intelligence in the process.

I treat endorsements of pols by pols like I do critiques of movies by movie critics. Ignore them!

So a big Poo-Bah pol says he endorses HRC, so fucking what. He's looking out for his own self-interest. If by chance she wins (heaven help us), he thinks his early support of her will garner favors in the new administration. :puke:

I am glad of one thing. I wasn't drinking coffee when I read this. Otherwise, I would be cleaning up my computer.

Hillary CAN be the next POTUS. The Cubs CAN win the World Series this year. But to say "You better get comfortable with that fact" is just so hilarious!

Keep up the humor.

Go Cubs....World Series Champions 07.
