Bush transformed Iraq into a Disneyworld for terrorists. We have 2 options.
They get to train, undermine any real government, and take potshots at and injure or kill our military and National Guard. We DO NOT HAVE the number of troops it would take to truly correct this situation unless we start a draft.

The ONLY responsible thing to do is to pull out ASAP and let the Iraqi people fight among themselves and ultimately somehow pull it together and create a true , new government OF THEIR OWN.

If, as some have predicted it turns into total chaos and genocide, then we can go back in with a real, international peacekeeping mission.

The other option is to just stay and keep doing the same things we are doing with the same results. Expecting anything different defines insanity.

1. They don't have a real government
And it mostly isn't terrorists taking potshots at US forces, it's resistance forces. The terrorists are busier blowing up crowded marketplaces.

I agree with this 100%. Not because it's hurting Americans, but because it's the right thing to do.

But there must be no "going back in" by US or international "peacekeepers" (and please stop thinking of other countries as being there to clean up after the US). Iraq for the Iraqis. Let them sort out the mess others have made.

2. Well said. It is simply arrogance for us to think that we can go
into Iraq and perform group therapy. The only permanent solution is one they work out among themselves without our troops driving up and down the streets getting blown up. If they blow themselves up, that is their decision, and eventually they'll get tired of it. The American people are already very tired of doing it for them.
