Must Read: The Bush Haters Handbook
"In his 2000 campaign, Bush raised far more than any other presidential candidate in history: 100 million in hard money, 93 million
or so in soft money-50 per cent more than poor Al Gore. Republicans opposed campaign finance reform guidelines on the grounds that
as the senator nicknamed "the Darth Vader of Campaign Reform" - Mitch McConnell (R-KY) declared on the Senate Floor "spending is
speech."...this page goes on to say that the energy industry in 2000 contributed "nearly 2 million to Bush." page 52

"In August 2002, he (Bush) refused Congress request for and additional 5 billion for Homeland Security citing budget constraints,
but called for his rich-man's tax cut to be made permanent at a 10 year cost of 4 trillion." page 8 of Introduction, Bush Haters Handbook

Bush defense budget in 2003, "the 396 billion (for defense spending) was more than the 25 next largest military budgets
in the world combined; more than 6 times Russia's..." page 102

"In Bush's first 27 months, the economy lost 3 million jobs after having created 1.7 million in 2000 alone. It was the longest
sustained period without job growth since the 1930s. "According to the Census Bureau annual report on income and poverty-but
contrary to Republican claims-the recession of 2001-2003 began in March 2001 and not under Clinton." page 111

:-)

Here's another snip from the book:

Bush political advisor Karl Rove was a lobbyist and consultant for Phillip Morris from 1991 to 1996." - page 311

"Heading the consumer protection bureau at the Federal Trade Commission was Howard Beales, a former professor and consultant
to RJ Reynolds Tobacco, who wrote an article saying that the Joe Camel ads were not aimed at teenagers." - page 312

2. Yes, but time for a new edition
and a better title. The marketing should not exclude Bush admirers -- the people who could actually learn from it.

3. I don't think they are reachable, but this is a fact warehouse
read it to rejuvenate yourself when we have a setback, it puts it all in perspective and cuts through the spin.
