Incredible! The More Voters Know Kerry, The More We Beat Bush!

The Incredible News Continues: We Could Win

For those who have not been tracking it, the latest Washington Post/ABC News poll ONLY CONFIRMS a pattern has been consistent since last Summer polling on this question of Kerry “Electability”: Senator John Kerry is consistently seen as relatively strong in a head-to-head against George W. Bush. The polling data for the last 4 months show that the the higher the % of people who know "a lot" about Kerry the more likely they are to support him. Now that is a change to celebrate!

Now, if we could only stop cutting one another down we could unite for a battle we have a real chance of winning.

And friends, please remember that just 2 months ago Governor Dean, the presumptive nominee, was loosing to Bush in head to heads by between 15 and 25 points. The Dec. 20 WP/ABC was Bush 55% Dean 37%.

1. Whole bunch of apolitical people will vote on the basis of

popular sentiment, too. People like to identify with winners. Of course, those that follow politics would be masochistic to reward Dimson another term.

I'm think 65-35 in November.

2. Except the only thing voters know about Kerry is that he has a chest
full of medals and he's "electable."

When the RW fills in the blanks in Kerry's "impressive" and "electable" biography (see recent National Enquirer), he's toast.

4. But the special interest stuff is true. The wanting to have it both ways
stuff is true.

Of course the biography stuff is bullshit, but so is basing this election on stuff that happened over 30 years ago in another bullshit war.

10. What is the worst that come out about Kerry?
That he lied to the country and took us to war, that he really was AWOL, that his is the biggest special interest crook ever...I think you get the picture.

I am not looking for the perfect candidate, I just want the best we can get.

7. Look, when Kerry wins the nomination I will support him wholeheartedly
BUT, we still have two weeks until Super Tuesday. If Kerry stays above the fray and beats my guy, then I will gladly support him.

Until then, I'm not going to stop being skeptical. This is EXACTLY what EVERYONE was saying just last week.

9. Kerry IS the Real Deal.
John Kerry is the best qualified candidate to serve as President of the United States. As you stated, WiseMen, the more people know about John Kerry, the more they like him as a President.

The trend lines also explain what's up with Drudge and his toadies, including the Drudge echo chamber on DU: They work to poison the well. Some have been hard at it ("aloof," "Lurch," "Skull&Bones," repeat ad nauseum) for more than two years ("IWR" is of more recent vintage). Until Iowa, they thought they had succeeded.

20% of the delegates have been selected, meaning 80% haven't. How about giving those of us in the 80% column a chance to vote, and let's stop these insulting, infuriating 'let's get behind Kerry' mantras for a while?

Just an idea...

19. I think it is - The More Voters Know Bush The Worse He Does.
Bush has been in a steady down trend since shortly after 9/11. And we have months for Bush to continue this trend.
