John Edwards & a role model for kids
I wish the republicans would quit bellyaching about John Edwards hard earned success. It's as plain as the nose on your face they are jealous with a capital J. How many wealthy folks in the around here have sons WHO worked their way though college and achieved John Edwards astounding success. Not good luck, not wealth, just plain hard work is what got John Edwards where he is today, and all Carolinians should be proud. He is the best of the best. He worked for it , he got it, and he deserves it. Unlike some who inherit their wealth. John Edwards worked for low pay to get through college and Law School. Then he worked even harder to build his practice. His success should be an inspiration to you and you should praise him to your children. We need role models and John Edwards is a shining example of what a poor boy or girl can accomplish if they try. Now he is running for President of the United States and everyone in North Carolina and South Carolina should vote for him. Lets show the yankee that we don't need their republican candidates. Let's show them we have the best candidate and he is a true southern gentleman who stuck with his wife through thick and thin, and he will stick with you through thick and thin.

1. He appears to be the best of the lot so far
I like him a lot. And he is no silver spooner.

2. This is sweet
But also bear in mind Edwards' daughter goes to school in New England, so I hope you mean showing "all Americans" what a great role model he is.

7. I'm from New England and not at all offended.
This yankee is voting for Edwards. You are correct, he appeals to all geographic areas.

3. Edwards has my vote!

Edwards is the only candidate with a true Universal Health Care plan, a plan to end poverty, a solid Energy plan and other programs that offer a hand up, rather than a hand out, such as his College for Everyone program.

And...he's not backing down to Bush on Iraq---Edwards is the most progressive top tier candidate! He's got my support, 100%!

4. Edwards and Obama
and Richardson are all super role models. So are Gore and Clark. It could even be argued that Hillary is a good role model. Compared to the Republicans we are over-stocked with good role models.

5. oh yeah
I have a major "soft spot" for candidates, like John Edwards, that grew up in blue-collar families. Growing up like that gives a person a certain breadth and depth of experience that that simply can't be found elsewhere. Coming from a similarly blue-collar background, I know that Edwards "gets" people like me who didn't have trust (or even college) funds.

6. Edwards is an excellent role model
for our children because he models hard work, compassion, intellectual curiosity and an open mind. He is also an excellent role model for leaders - his example of being forthcoming about his plans and views has changed this race for the White House.
