From the Associated Press, via the NH Union Leader:

"I'm one person who will not vote for a Mormon," Al Michaud of Dover shouted at Romney when the former Massachusetts governor approached him inside Harvey's Bakery. Romney was kicking off the second of two day's worth of campaign visits in the lead primary state.

Michaud later told reporters he was not "a right-winger," alluding to some evangelical Christians who have compared Romney's faith to a cult. Instead, Michaud stated he was "a liberal."

Now, I think Mitt Romney is a vapid, clueless dork, but this guy Michaud is a prize jerk. I wonder if he will vote for Katrina Swett (a Mormon and a Dem candidate for Senate) if she's the nominee against Sununu next year?

always smells of political dirty tricks to me............. of course he's a 'liberal' that way people who take their news in 30 second bites, will 'know' those liberals are trouble making big mouths.

2. Al Michaud is 77 years old...

and walks around Dover all day picking up everyones trash. Literally... all day... every day... the guy is cleaning up the town. I know this, as I live in Dover and I see him all the time. Ive even spoken with him on several occasions and I promise you, he's no political patsy. But like I said... 77 years old. Pretty stuck in his (religious) ways I'd guess. But dont doubt that he's a liberal.
