4. As in fluent in English rather than a master of gibberish.
I'm thinking more and more that Gore's gonna do it. And he's the only potential candidate I know of who excites everyone in my circle of acquaintances, friends & family.

3. It's so gut wrenching
I want Al to run so much, and to have this "haven't ruled it out" is both uplifting and frustrating! It's so strange -- I'm preparing myself to be either really crushed or absolutely excited. I have to say that this is becoming stressful.

14. "Crushed or excited." Jeez, that's me to a T. I just want the summer
over with so I can find out if he'll run, and that's no way to live!

5. Pragmatism works best. If the man is not in the lineup, he's not running.
If that changes tomorrow, then so be it.

Reality works best.

6. I think the fact that he maintains
that there is no need to "close the door" at this time, and that he wants to "continue to speak out" indicates that he is enjoying being able to speak frankly about his views without the constraint of worrying about his image as a presidential candidate. If I am right, then this is a truly brilliant pre-campaign strategy.

Edited on Tue May-29-07 07:44 PM by FrenchieCat
about this.....like with some "experience" in these matters. A Candidate who can end the War in IRaq for real, deal with Iran effectively.....and tell the Repugs to kiss his ass when they start screaming, "terra, terra, terra!".

So yes, RUN AL......Pretty Please?

IMHO

No matter that the Senate Dems have to say, Hillary and Obama could have stop it and didn't

10. He also said he isn't thinking about running and doesn't want to run.

I have no idea why the hell people are so obsessed with him. This interview on Countdown shows exactly why, in my opinion, he shouldn't run: he went right back to being stiff, overly intellectual Al, throwing around the $10 words by the bucketful. I'm not against sounding smart, but when you're hemming and hawing trying to find a word of more than four syllables, that's a problem. He's a great guy, no doubt, but he's not a great candidate.

16. Hate to say this, but
Gore supporting Pelosi's and Reid's recent pullback on the Iraq funding bill may just be the strongest evidence he is not going to run.

Didn't say I was happy about my logical deduction.

21. I came to a different logical conclusion
That Gore said that because it is truly what he believes (whcih, to be honest, meshes with what I believe - that the numbers and the eventual consequences were against us). I think Gore declared support for Pelosi and Reid because that is how he truly feels, whether he runs or not being irrelevent.

26. Yes, I think it is what he believes, but
its not something he needs to volunteer if he was in a primary for instance. Hey I could be wrong on whether he would take that position publicly and out front and just seems like the type of thing you don't need to say out loud. "I supported them voting for that funding bill!"

24. I am beginning to get my hopes up after seeing the interview on KO
tonight. As Gore travels the country, he is being accosted continuously by the public to run. He did admit tonight to Keith that the US president does have the most clout in accomplishing the goals that he wants for the world. I believe that he may be considering a run. I doubt that he has made a decision yet. If he does run, he will be his own man this time. His credentials are too solid and needed to listen to the ad men again.

25. IF Hillary 's support collapses, AND Obama makes a stupendous gaffe, AND
JE decides the family needs more attention than a campaign allows, AND Richardson et.al show no ability to compete, AND Wes Clark calls to say HE'S not running if Al does...

then maybe...

if Tipper is willing too.
