How irrelevant is Matthew's Hardball? |
|
I just watched him talk about ridiculous stuff...Bill and Hill; Kennedy Books; ROSIE ON THE VIEW. IT WAS PATHETIC. They can only go for ratings, so I get that, but it's turning into Access Hollywood, (didn't O'Rielly do that at one point in time)?

2. He's had a vein busting hard on for the Clintons' personal life the past few days. |

It's been ridiculous. All his guests keep telling him "Uhhh... Chris, there's nothing new here." or "This is nothing that wasn't hashed and rehashed throughout the 90's. It's not a big deal." Tweety just keeps driving forward though.

4. He is very irrelevant, but the problem is that he can make an impact |
|
on the uninformed voters. Plus he is normally only repeating what the rest of the media has already said, over and over again....and hence lies the problem.

it's like watching a soap opera, with bad actors, and a bad plot.

...he's pissed that Keith has Gore booked. That's gotta be what it is...(in the midst of his current spate of Clinton hating, no less). Burst his (matthew's), well, bubble. (Feel free to "burst" something else on him)!

10. Chris has one very big disconnect |
|
Only people actually interested in politics would watch his show in the first place. Once they (we, me, you,) realize how fluffy, uniformed and facile he is, you have no more reason to watch, because you are not going to learn anything new or notable.
This makes him 100% percent totally irrelevant - because he appeals to neither the political nor the apolitical nor the informed or the uninformed.

11. When I tuned in, he was spending 15 minutes whining about |
|
the Mexican audience at the Miss Universe pageant booing Miss USA (and not because she fell, either).
I thought "This is his big story today?"

13. Think Esperanto, gothic typefaces, Bakelite, tube radios and solid-state guitar amps |
|
Better yet, think Wang, Commodore and Avatar; Pong, Dig-Dug and Tempest; linotype, Salvarsan and New Coke, along with the Pinto, the Yugo, the Vega and the K-Car.
And cross all of the above with equal measures of the National Enquirer, the Globe and E! Online.
