Why we should not Impeach Bush:
Edited on Tue May-29-07 10:52 PM by datahead
First off, if we impeached Bush what would happen, and who would be in charge of this country after that. Yep that is right… Dick Cheney, Mr. Bush’s village idiot that has really been in charge for years (or is that the other way around). Yes, I am sure you know Cheney and Rumsfeld have been around for years’, decades even, in the background doing their dirty deeds for big oil and big business and touting the need for a strong military, at any cost. I remember reading in Life Magazine about this dirty duo in the early 70’s and that we should be watching these two nimrods. Not to mention, Rummy baby who has crawled into the background like the snake he is.

I say if were going to get rid of Bush then get rid of the both of them in one shot. After all, the speaker of the house would be in charge. Yes a democrat! This is a very pleasant thought on the matter. At least until the elections in 2008, maybe that might work.

The thing I am most worried about is the appointment if judges to the Supreme Court while Bush is in office. If that is not a reason to get rid of, the whole bunch I do not know what is because that could influence law for years to come.

2. I don't see an argument against impeachment here.
Just an argument for DOUBLE impeachment.

Anyway, to just get Bush & leave Cheney in place would at the very least leave us no worse off than we already are. We ALREADY got Cheney running things, fer Chrissake.

8. Impeach or jail? Impeach or jail? The wonderful news is that
these are not mutually exclusive options.
Impeach AND jail!

9. Yep. Can't just impeach Bush. Must Impeach Bush AND Cheney.

. . . and watch the parade of Republicans heading to the Hill to beg (threaten) Bush and Cheney to resign and spare them from the loathsome task of having to stand and defend the "right" of the Pariah in Chief to spit on Congress and nullify the acts they pass with a stroke of a pen.

Republican Senators won't be happy campers if they are forced to "go on the record" for the lie that the American Presidency has absolute and unlimited power to "protect us" (power would be handing to President Edwards, or horror of horrors, President Hillary).

Even those who embrace torturing "tirrists" won't be keen to be forced to defend the fact that by keeping torture "on the table" Bush and Cheney have destroyed our moral authority to object when other parties to armed conflict torture Americans.

Impeach and watch Bush and Cheney turn out the lights and hand the keys to Danforth (or some other Repub the Democratic House and Senate gives the AOK to)

When the house of cards falls, they'll all fall.

Visualize IMPEACHMENT. Then DO something to make it happen.
