Poll question: Who Will Michael Moore Endorse Now?
Now that Wesley Clark has dropped out of the race and put his
support towards his formal rival John Kerry, who will Michael
Moore, one of Clark's most prominent supporters, support now?

1. I checked DK because that's whom I hope he'll have the class to endorse
But given that he didn't endorse DK in the first place, I obviously can't really predict what he'll do. Maybe he will endorse Kerry.

3. probably the eventual nominee
the other week on Bill Maher's show he (Bill) asked Moore why he chose to endores a Dem this time. He said "three years of George Bush". He wants Bush out, so he'll probably go with the eventual nominee

4. He better support DK
Unless he wants to throw his support behind somebody who voted for the war.

5. Apparently not Kucinich...
http://www.counterpunch.org/lindorff01162004.html

Moore backs up this plea for grace by claiming that Dennis Kucinich --the most consistent and outspoken opponent of the Iraq war of all the Democratic candidates, and the only member of Congress running for the presidency who had the guts to vote against the November war resolution which Bush used as his "Tonkin Gulf" authorization to invade Iraq--is himself a waffler on the issue of the war.

How so?

As Moore explains, "Dennis Kucinich refused to vote against the war resolution in Congress on March 21 (two days after the war started) which stated `unequivocal support' for Bush and the war (only 11 Democrats voted against this--Dennis abstained)."

After this nasty charge, he goes on to play coy, saying, "What's the point of this ridiculous tit-for-tat sniping? I applaud Dennis for all his other stands against the war."

6. Kucinich and Dean were mentioned as "seemingly decent guys"
in his book. So if he doesn't fall back to Oprah, I expect it could be Dean or Kucinich. Moore doesn't seem like the bandwagon type/

13. Frankly- I saw one of his appearances,
Edited on Fri Feb-13-04 07:34 PM by diamondsoul
and I got the clear impression he's acting on pure fear and fury at haveing been made afraid. Sorry, but the BS he's pulled in the past couple of months makes me convinced he's gone completely chicken* about what he used to defend.

When I saw him here, his sole argument against Kucinich was that he "personally believes abortion is wrong". Well gee, I hate to break his heart but MOST Pro-choicers self-identify as "personally prolife, politically prochoice", myself included.

Know what his sole support of Clark consisted of? "I wanna see him kick Bush's @SS in a debate!", that was IT! Cripes he even said "Am I excusing the 'Butcher of Kosovo'? Well, yeah!"

I was sincerely NOT impressed at that point. He won't endorse because he doesn't have the guts for it anymore.

16. I have been a Michael Moore fan
since I saw Roger & me several years ago. I havent followed him closely but I have kept an eye on what he has done over the years. It strikes me that as he has achieved a higher level of success, he has begun to lose his raw fighting spirit. It is almost as though he is having other folks do the research for him, then parroting their findings, without the real working knowledge that we have come to expect from the man. I hope it is a passing phase of his career.
