So long as she PROMISES never, ever to run for office!!!!

That said, I won't buy her stupid book, and she IS, now, a public figure--an adult, writing a book, putting herself OUT THERE.

If she didn't want the publicity, she wouldn't do something that will require the book tour, the interviews, the book signing, and so forth.

She can't have it both ways--if she's gonna be a schoolteacher, I say leave her alone. If she's going to be a writer of bullshit books, she's on stage and needs to get a thick skin.

Here's the real truth of all this: if Jane Doe down the street wrote that EXACT SAME book, she wouldn't be able to even get a frigging publisher, never mind all this bullshit FREE pre-release publicity in a major American newspaper.

This book isn't being touted because it's the next Nobel winner, it's being touted because "Drunky Jenna" is putting her name on the cover. Buzz, buzz, buzz, can Barfly McBush string a sentence together on paper? How about in an interview? Will she beer-burp all over Matt Laur in the obligato kissass appearance on the TODAY show??? That's the real hook, here. The subject matter of the book could be ANYTHING--the topic was chosen to make her look a bit less "Another round of pina coladas, please!" and a bit more serious, because time, indeed, marches on.

It's offensive, how they use their fame-by-association to make an easy buck, and how eager the WAPO media pigs are to hop on the bandwagon with a rave "review" of sorts, ahead of publication.

I'm not supporting that crap. Shame on the WAPO for touting this thing in advance--they might as well just have handed the indolent thing a check, for all the objectivity they've got going on of late.
