I may be biased because the one person I know from Iowa is a loud-mouthed Bushbot. You cannot have a discussion with her because she just talks louder and louder, doesn't listen at all. We are a mix of people who think for themselves and aren't influenced by the ads. In fact, most of us have learned how to tune them out VERY early in the game. Otherwise, it is like water torture to hear them, day after day...drip, drip, drip. We also tune out those who are so taken with themselves. Helps narrow down the field.

One should strive to look their best — feeling good about yourself is a big part of life, but here at DU (where I would expect better), there's always snarky comments about how a woman is dressed, or her hair or makeup, or her weight, instead of what she's saying.

There is much to despise about Mary her new creepy face lift is only icing on the cake.

When it comes to face lifts though I think that is taking vanity a little too far for my tastes. Feeling good about yourself is one thing. Manipulating your body with surgery is a bit over the top.If you have a disfigurement sure I am all for it. If she could get a brain transplant I would likely be more for it.

I personally don't go for the whole make up dress weight thing. Its a distraction from who the person really is. You can be great looking and still be a complete waste of skin.

She is overwhelmingly negative. She is completely down on all democrats, how she is married to one is more than I would know.
