GOP WANTS NEW ATTACKS ON US SOIL TO KEEP MAJORITY
Published: Sunday June 3, 2007

In his first interview as the chairman of the Arkansas Republican Party, Dennis Milligan told a reporter that America needs to be attacked by terrorists so that people will appreciate the work that President Bush has done to protect the country.

"At the end of the day, I believe fully the president is doing the right thing, and I think all we need is some attacks on American soil like we had on ," Milligan said to the Arkansas Democrat-Gazette, "and the naysayers will come around very quickly to appreciate not only the commitment for President Bush, but the sacrifice that has been made by men and women to protect this country."

Milligan, who was elected as the new chair of the Arkansas Republican Party just two weeks ago, also told the newspaper that he is "150 percent" behind Bush in the war in Iraq.

1. So now they want to fight them over here so we have to fight them over there?
He is promoting terrorism in America, such acts should be classified as terrorism

7. So now Rethugs are the ones who are anti-American!
I wouldn't put it past them to commit some act of terrorism just to get Rethugs elected. After all they believe the end justifies the means. What's a little collateral damage? It's much more important to have a Rethug President and pack the Supreme court with more conservatives.

6. They forget 9/11 happened on their watch
"Fight them there so we don't have to fight them here" is illogical, too. Which is easier, if they really wanted terror, to attack us here or face the U.S. Military in Iraq or where ever?

9. So he wants a return to fear/war mongering - it's become their "Core value"?
Edited on Mon Jun-04-07 09:48 AM by 54anickel
In his acceptance speech on May 19th, Milligan told his fellow Republicans that it was "time for a rediscovery of our values and our common sense."

On edit:
Maybe he meant returning to blind, obedient, 150% support of Bush and the Party.
