"Poor Scooter"???? Fuck that. |
|
All this 'poor Scooter' crap disgusts me.
'He's an upstanding guy'
'He has little kids'
'He's a public servant who worked hard for his country'
'He was a scapegoat'
'Yadda yadda, fucking yadda'
What about the dark skinned inner city father who gets hauled away on some unpaid parking ticket beef? Or for smoking a little weed? Does anyone write letters of support for these nobodys?
Scooter, by lying, obstructed the investigation into an act of national treason. He's no small time pot head. He's no minor scofflaw with a back seat full of unpaid parking tickets. He's a high priced lawyer with deep and intimate knowledge of the law who consciously chose to break it for some political game. As far as I'm concerned, he got off easy. I'd like to see any obstruction charge be punishable with the same sentence as the crime that was the subject of the obstructed investigation.
What's the current sentencing guidelines for a treason charge?
Poor Scooter? Fuck that. I'm fresh out of tears and wrung hands for that rat fucker.

3. Why didn't Scooter think of his family |
|
when he chose to break the law?
Now we are supposed to feel sympathy for HIM because he has a family? Fuck that.

Joe Wilson on Keith Tuesday night NAILED IT.
It wasn't all these mean judges and prosecutors putting Scooter in jail 30 months, it was his crimes outing a undercover CIA agent that got him in jail.
Nice to see breaking laws in the Bush White House can sometimes have consequences, isn't it?
Catch this Joe Wilson/Keith Olbermann piece anywhere you can. POWERFUL and SUCCINCT!

6. He needs to spend his 30 months at Abu Graib. |
|
Now that would be a fitting punishment.

7. And it seems they downplay the Chief of Staff thing, too....always "aide" |

:eyes:
This was Cheney's second-in-command, his closest adviser, his best friend.
A seasoned lawyer who lied to federal investigators and is a party to treason? He should hang.

..... (and I agree with you, by the way) ....... if one accepts that the veep is the #2 guy in government, then it follows that Gin Blossom George is number one, Darth is number two, KKKarl is number 3 and Scoots is number 4.
The 4th highest guy in government LIED to a grand jury about TREASON to cover up for the numbers one (maybe), two, and three guys.
