This is for any of you conservatives trolling this board: |

How many times do I post the expression "legalized murder"? and still you don't get it or don't give a damn until it is one of yours. I was watching the investigation on Avandia in congress. Republicans expressed NO CONCERN about the possible heart attacks patients might experience while taking this drug. The only whine I heard from Republican congressmen was the 20% decline on the stock market of GSK. Even if this drug kills on one patient is that an "acceptable loss"? Talk about the sacredness of life! But I guess that only applies if you are unborn. All I heard from the Republican congressmen was a "political agenda" that hurt GSK's bottom line, NOT A DAMN WORD ABOUT A POSSIBLE DANGER TO THE PATIENT! Now you see why I have a complete disgusted with your party..little respect for human life in the face of profits. Another Republican whine was why didn't this doctor take his concerns to the regulatory FDA. Remember Vioxx? I am personally getting sick and tired of conservatives sucking at the teat of business. I don't trust the FDA after Vioxx. The doctor that published the paper against Avandia was called up by his superior who is a personal friend of the CEO of GSK. It is time to hit corporations in the knees..they have no loyalty to this nation only to the buck, not to patient health. I don't know how in the hell you cons look in the mirror in the morning.

1. They are incapable of understanding you rational statements. |

My shrink taught me something a long time ago. He said one of my problems was that I was always trying to find a rational solution to an irrational problem.

How many would die if Avandia was not available? It's a balance of risks.

All drugs do not work as well for everyone. If they did, there would be no market for the newer drugs.

...it's all about the profits.
Why prescribe an inexpensive, proven drug when we can prescribe the new and unproven drug that cost 100% more?
Our best interests are not always the focus of the drug manufacturers.

6. If you wish to discuss this issue with conservatives... |
|
... why don't you post on a discussion board that has both liberals and conservatives as members and encourages debate between them?
