2. uhh -- I have a problem with doctors running for office |
|
ESPECIALLY when we need single-payer health care NOW.
I have to deal with both Gingrey and Price in Congress, and BOTH of those *doctors* are heavily backed by the health insurance industry. They could give a rat's ass about the working poor in Georgia. Medical corporations in Georgia are screwing the middle class daily. Price and Gingrey are THE attack dogs for the corporations - and both need to GO too.
And this guy wants to provide *health insurance* for everyone? BAH!
Pretty website, but he's going to have to truly convince ME he's not just the same *same old, same old*, just wrapped in a different color paper.

3. Jeez, talk about setting the bar high. |
|
Vernon- the walking ethics violation, Dale- the guy who wants to round up every illegal alien tomorrow and toss them over the fence and abolish the IRS, or... a doctor.

4. I don't think it's setting the bar high -- it's just that the CROOKEDNESS |
|
and graft in Georgia is considered a TRADITION. That wonderful God Old Boy's Club, Country Club of the South crap.
That's nothing to be proud of.

6. I checked out their web sites, and have already contacted Dale. |
|
I'm walking into this not knowing either guy, so I'm going to ask my questions and see what kind of responses I get.
Dale got back to me right away, and ome of my questions was about punishing employers who break the law, and how he would deal with stolen SS#'s. I want to put the full burden on the employers, but if they have don't the right checks and everything looks ligit, it's not right to put them in the slammer!
I'm intrigued by his one suggestion. "I believe a national social security clearing house would (and could already) be making a difference. you make a point that "socials" can be stolen. the clearing house will determine if the card is already in use by its owner with another employer. a "stolen" card will do the thief no good, if the card is registered with the "real" person with the current employer." I responded to him by asking WHY this wasn't able to be done NOW? It IS a Federal Program isn't it?
That does sound like a good idea to me, and I'll let you know what his response is.

5. You can rest easy- he's not a medical doctor. |
|
He has a Ph.D. in Ecosystems Analysis. Looks like he's basically an eco-scientist. http://www.knightforsenate.com/meetRand.asp

9. Aside from Jim Inhofe, Saxby Chambliss is probably the worst person in the Senate |
|
IMO, any Democrat has to be better.

12. Dunwoody is a rich area but if the guy's a Democrat, |
|
I'm not going to worry about him living in Dunwoody. I doubt he's a freeper. And could anyone be worse than Saxby Shameless?

13. What set my alarms off |
|
is the membership at Dunwoody Baptist Church. Sorry to say it but any mention of baptists raises red flags in my mind.

14. There are all sorts of Baptists. I would think that |
|
the Dunwoody Baptist Church would be country club conservative. There might even be liberals in the congregation!
Not all rich people are pigs. FDR and the Kennedys have generally done the right things and they were all born with silver spoons in their mouths, unlike the Bushes, who, as Ann Richards said of Poppy, "Poor George. He can't help it. Hewas born with a silver foot in his mouth." Like father, like son.
I'm sure we'll find out more about these guys, and I would vote for a yellow dog before I'd vote for Saxby Shameless.
