only a Pollyanna on helium would believe...
I hate Camilla Paglia and her fake version feminism but wtf if she's right?

"After two major televised debates by both parties, only a Pollyanna on helium would believe that any of the top-tier Democrats will definitely be able to defeat a leading Republican like Mitt Romney or Rudy Giuliani." http://www.salon.com/opinion/paglia/2007/06/13/gore/

1. RW blather.
Pay it no nevermind.

Rudy has dressed too much a cross dresser for middle America and has yet to really hear what New York fireman really really think of him.

Mitt is a flip-flopper and wears unusual underwear. His religion will keep him from going too far.

The one to watch is Fred. He is Rove's darling. But as he has cancer, that will be a short lived run if there is one.

The publicans are running scared.

8. I think it means
The Punditry Barn had a sale on slightly irregular metaphors.

3. Paglia is a less than brilliant political analyst.
She is sharp on cultural commentary and a blathering idiot on most other subjects. Romney and Giuliani will not get nominated and would, like the other republicans, lose badly against just about anyone we manage to run.

Maybe if she talked faster she would make more sense.

5. Campaigning as usual.
How is this any different from the hordes of Democrats who say the same things about their opponents in the primaries?

Why does anyone give hot air weight?

6. I was very disappointed when Salon brought her back
I know I'm not the only one who feels that way. Generally I avoid her writings because I find them tedious to read. This one caught my eye though.

7. Oh right
As if the party that took away habeas corpus, that reads American citizens' mail, that rigged the presidential elections, that is the most corrupt in the history of our nation, that has created the biggest trade and budget deficits, that has most of the rest of the world hating us so much they boo Miss America, that has lowered the average income of Americans, that has turned the department of justice into a political arm of a fascist organization, that started an illegal war and occupation on lies, has a chance in hell in a fair and accurate election.

If it weren't for nine black robed politicos, none of this would have happened. Does she honestly believe they are going to stay in power? How delusional can you be?
