Need help answering this: |
|
"When it comes to Miss Nancy: did you hear what she said about "earmarks"? She said that the word "earmark" shouldn't exist; "it is legislative directed spending"! Now that's our new Speaker! I bet she thinks lambs have five legs because she insists on calling their tail a leg! LOL
I am stumped by this, am uninformed. This from the "know-it-all" repug uncle who loves sending me stuff like this. Any ideas???

2. Try, "Yeah, whatever." |
|
No doubt this uncle has been explaining and defending "our President" to you for the past six years while simultaneously bashing Democrats for breathing air.

3. Why don't you send him back a W quote? |
|
"When it comes to W: did you hear what he said about "dictators"? He said:
"You don't get everything you want. A dictatorship would be a lot easier." Describing what it's like to be governor of Texas. (Governing Magazine 7/98)
-- From Paul Begala's "Is Our Children Learning?"
"I told all four that there are going to be some times where we don't agree with each other, but that's OK. If this were a dictatorship, it would be a heck of a lot easier, just so long as I'm the dictator," Bush joked.
-- CNN.com, December 18, 2000
"A dictatorship would be a heck of a lot easier, there's no question about it, " said.
-- Business Week, July 30, 2001
Now that's your president. LOL!!!! Oh wait, that's not funny.
(I omitted the lamb reference because I found it lame, but if you can work it in...)

4. First of all, "Miss Nancy" is inappropriate. She's a married woman. It's either "Mrs. Pelosi" or |
|
"Ms. Pelosi" or "Nancy" if the person talking about her is trying to be informal or clever or whatever.
Miss Nancy sounds like the hostess of Romper Room.

5. "I thought you were a fiscal conservative? Do you WANT our money wasted?" |
|
I like to throw that back at the dumbasses in my world who try to get me sidetracked with the Repuke noise.
