With more subpoenas being cranked out relative to the US Attorney firings, the right wing smear and disinformation machine at the white house will no doubt get cranked up and toss the old executive privilege nonsense out and about. However, in the recent past both bush boy servants dan the bland bartlett and tony the clown snow said bush never talked to anyone about the attorney firings. Maybe some brave, intrepid reporter will ask tony what conversations should be "privileged?" (as occurred when snow originally made the statement.) Being the good whore, tony rambled and tambled and there was no followup.

1. Absolutely!
Otherwise, the president is not free to decide what topics not to discuss with his advisors. :sarcasm:

4. Thanks my friend
I didn't know that asking questions was so damned hard. I'm sitting in my I love me room perusing the internet and reading papers and it seems I know (we at DU know) more of whats going on then those who supposedly make a living do this kinda stuff.

5. To answer this existential question, ...

I would first ask another, parroting the tree falling in the woods. If Bush spoke his whole mind yet uttered not a sound, would the empty reverberation be privileged? Somewhere therein lies the obvious politically spun answer.

7. Of course! It's his government!
Suppose releasing information about what they didn't discuss would endanger National Security, demoralize the troops or send the wrong message to the terrorists? Sheesh!:silly:
