While Edwards announces support from party activists, Obama and Hillary are fighting over billionaires and Hollywood moguls.

I don't ever find myself wishing that Kucinich was claiming the kind of support from the glitterazzi which Hillary and Obama so proudly announce, but I wish Kucinich had the sort of support which Edwards is slowly building day after day.

There is something intangible that Edwards is doing right here and a point that Hillary and Obama are missing.

Roger Goun, a former software engineer turned progressive political activist, has publicly endorsed Democratic presidential hopeful Sen. Hillary Clinton of New York.

While not as well-known as the more than 40 state office-holders who have already endorsed Clinton, Goun represents a new breed of activist — he cut his teeth on the Howard Dean Democratic primary challenge of 2004 and has taken that organizing experience to the next level by helping elect candidates such as state Sen. Maggie Hassan of Exeter and 1st District U.S. Rep. Carol Shea-Porter.

"I hadn't planned on endorsing anyone this early," Goun, 46, told the Herald on Thursday. "Coming from a grass-root position, she just blew me away because of how well she connects with people."

Clinton gets key New Hampshire endorsement

New Hampshire state Senate President Sylvia Larsen, of Concord, formally endorsed Hillary Clinton for president this afternoon, marking one of the biggest endorsements for the New York senator thus far.
Larsen has been one of the biggest players in New Hampshire Democratic politics for a decade. In 2004, she was the first person to endorse John Kerry’s presidential campaign and helped guide him to his eventual victory in the New Hampshire Primary.

Larsen had said repeatedly that she wouldn't endorse any presidential candidate until the legislative session was over in July.
But after seeing Clinton on the trail in New Hampshire, Larsen said, she was "favorably impressed."

500 NH Women Announce Support for Sen. Clinton For President

The Clinton Campaign today announced the endorsements of prominent elected officials from across South Carolina.


Former Legislative Black Caucus Chairs State Representative David J. Mack III of North Charleston and State Representative John Scott Jr. of Columbia were joined by State Representative Terry Alexander and former State Senator Maggie Glover of Florence in announcing their support for Senator Clinton.

Richland County Councilwomen Bernice G. Scott and Joyce Dickerson, and Richland County School District One Commissioner Dwayne Smiling.
