ENOUGH of the Obama vs. Clinton Trashfest
They're both from the same wing of the party. Neither of them have taken a strong stance on trade. Neither of them have publicly given much support to the crucial importance of unions in our neoliberal "I Got Mine" age. Neither of them have firmly stated that they will remove ALL troops from Iraq.

BOTH of them have heavy Wall Street support. BOTH of them are backed by the corporate wing of our party. BOTH of them are being anointed as passionate saviors by the mainstream media (particularly Time Warner).

NEITHER of them have earned our votes yet. Let's take a step down and examine what we want the next President to accomplish for America, what sort of agenda we want the future President to lay out on the table for the Congress.

Think.

Instead of doing this whole American Idol personality wars bullshit trashfest.

However, as the primaries heat up you will find many posters here have blinders on when it comes to their candidate and all hell will break loose in flamewar after flamewar over nothing of substance. It will make you nuts if it's already bugging you.

You will learn to avoid certain types of threads etc.. if you want real dialog as things progress.

I'm not so sure the American Idol comparison is completely fair though. Most people here do believe that Clinton or Obama will indeed get the most done that will help us. There's a wide variety of opinion as you've already figured out I'm sure.

10. Nah. Democracy is rough.
The only thing that matters is that we unite AFTER the primaries.

12. This is part of the problem
There are 8 Democratic candidates. Six of them are neither Obama nor Clinton. None of them are named Nader.

As you engaged in trashing Obama all day long, then feign innocence in this thread. And as you have engaged in various other trashfests.

Not for anybody in particular? Just a routine disruptor? Equal opportunity trasher? What's your deal?

17. Renegotiate NAFTA, CAFTA, for starters
Take out ALL our troops from Iraq.

Take a new initiative in combating Chinese mercantilism.

Socialized health care.

Say no to the guest worker program and the flooding of the labor market.

No to H1Bs.

27. Is there anyone running on a platform you support?
At the moment?

Or, even, are there certain things you like about several candidates that you would like to see combined?

What I'm asking is, what do you want, more specifically, and how can we make it happen? Do the things you want to see exist as actual plans proposed by one or any combination of the candidates? Or are they abstract concepts at this time. Either way, what or who do you think is the best answer in terms of getting NAFTA renegotiated, socialized health care, etc.

18. Okay, I'll bite:
Significant health care reform! I am well aware that we won't go straight away to Universal Health Care coverage like it is in many other industrialized nations but we can GET STARTED by taking away the power of the insurance companies. The president who tackles that and tackles that well will always get my support.

That's my number one priority because I think the money saved could be used to help in all the other typically Democratic areas: the environment and education for example.

Guaranteed.

BTW, I agree with you 100%, but no Canute can turn back the tide of slavering, frequently dishonest and often superficial partisanship that will fill up most of the posts in this forum from here on out. Take it to the bank.

28. Neither of them WILL earn my vote.
So let's move on.

I'm a strong supporter of peace, labor reform, environmental responsibility, abolishing corporate influence, universal, single-payer, not-for-profit health care, election reform, and closing the class/economic gaps.

Who do you think I should be supporting?
