How Do You Feel About Harry Reid? |
|
I have such mixed feelings about him. Sometimes he seems to be a standup guy and other times I think he is really bad.
Some of his off the cuff comments just amaze me.
I am hoping that the low poll results for this Congress might be enough to get these guys in gear.

3. He's kindly old man who volunteers as the crossing guard because he's non-threatening. |

4. Yup, that's about where I am with him, too. |

Well-said. Ditto for Nancy, btw.

9. Absolutely. Grandma Nancy and Old Harry are self-serving slugs. |

6. Way too whimpy for me! |
|
I'd prefer Shumer, Kennedy, Leahey, somebody whith some piss & vinegar to have the last words, and be willing to say what needs to be said! My criticism of Harry is that he's just TOO DAMN NICE! Someone criticizes him and he gets all appologetic! I want someone who will say TS buddy that you don't like to hear the truth!

7. 50-50 during the best of times - and he's MY senator... |
|
He disappoints more than he impresses me...
He is a permanent FIXTURE here in Nevada, and it would be hard to dislodge him...
Part of the "old boys" network - literally and figuratively...
Everytime you corner him to talk about a specific policy - he launches into his "Searchlight" speech...
Feh...
He could be worse - he could be a repuke...

11. He is beholden to the gambling and credit card industries. |

Citigroup is a big contributor, along, of course, with the big casino operators. Tells you where his allegiences ultimately lie.

12. He's probably a nice person |
|
but he isn't a leader and that's what we need. He makes some quick comments but there is never any followup so it seems like all bark, no bite.

we need a Sen. Feingold to whip that bunch into shape
Pelosi is in the same mold; how about Jim McDermott for speaker?
We need to get new leadership or we are facing the same old shit over and over again

he comes across as a follower, rather than a leader.
