Edwards: Bush "can't walk and chew gum"
Bush "can't walk & chew gum," Edwards suggests
By O.Kay Henderson--Radio Iowa
Friday, June 15, 2007

----
During an appearance on Iowa Public Television, Democratic presidential candidate John Edwards offered a unique critique of the current president's job performance.

Some call it an idiom. Others say it's a euphemism. Whatever. You're going to recognize it.

"We need a president of the United States who can walk and chew chewing gum at the same time," Edwards said.

Edwards went on to suggest Bush had been "completely and totally captivated" by a single issue. "Do we need to address both short-term and long-term the forces of terrorism and the risk it creates for America and our allies? Of course we do," Edwards said. "But on top of we have to deal with these other problems: universal health care, energy transformation, families who live in poverty. All of these things are huge issues."

12. I'll say it over and over-- then why are his buddies getting so very rich, and the repubs
gaining so much power? If there were no benefits being had, then I'd agree.

Read the Honorable John Conyers Jr. and staff's "Constitution in Crisis" and note the intent and goals and success. They've gotten what they want, and then some, and there is much more to be had as they continue.

If repetition of the truth is funny, then I'm a funny guy, and what would that make those who laugh?
