And you KNOW I like Dennis!
Okay, he may seem a bit kooky. "Department of Peace?" Ummm...yeah. That's not to say we couldn't use one. He also sees the drug war as the sham and failure that it is. That's a heck of a lot more than we're getting from the rest of them.

If truth be told, I'd love to see the guy get there. He's definitely in a class by himself. But there's no way the corporate media would ever let him get closer than waving distance, and, let's face it, the CM is far more influential in all of this than anyone (particularly they themselves) may want to admit.

We could use someone like Dennis to raise the level of discourse. He has things to say that no one else will. You have no idea how much I wish he could be a real contender, even if he never made it into the final stretch.

1. Agreed. Dennis is the ONLY true Democrat and isn't afraid to tell it like it is.
What is wrong with the 'Department of Peace'; it certainly has to be better than our current 'Department of War'. The war on drugs, along with homeland security, are two of the many shams. When you roll out the red carpet for the drug dealers and send all your manufacturing jobs, manufacturing technology, manufacturing operations, manufacturing R&D to other distant nations, how 'secure' can 'WE' be??? Many of the candidates will continue to lead 'US' in the same old wrong direction 'WE' are currently heading. A candidate like Dennis could be the person to change all that; change is desperately needed.

2. So, are you going to vote for him in the primary?
Or are you going to do like so many others do, sympathize about how much they love Dennis, but when crunch time comes, due to various excuses, go with one of the "lesser of two evils" candidate.

I think that a large reason that Dennis can't get off the ground is this huge misconception that he can't get off the ground. If Dennis had a vote for every person who has said they love what he stands for but. . ., he would have gotten the nod in '04 instead of Kerry.

6. I won't participate in my state's primaries...
Ever since they ditched the open primaries in favor of the parties' alleged "rights" I threw up my hands in disgust. I refuse to register a party to vote in a state where no one ever had to before.

7. Well then, you are shortchanging not only yourself,
But the rest of the country, and your candidate as well. Not as bad as not voting in the generals, but still and all, voting is our duty:shrug:

I understand your beef with your state going away from an open primary, it would piss me off too. But then again, I would go ahead and register, and even change my registration as I saw fit. Our individual votes, our individual voices may not be much, but they are all we have to express ourselves, and frankly I consider it my duty to do so.

3. First of all, don't perpetuate the meme
that Dennis can't win. Say he can. People are so disgusted with the way things are going, I think they are looking for someone really different--and Dennis Kucinich is the man. He can get the nomination. And the Dept. of Peace is the way to go.

4. The "CM" cannot
buy my vote or sell me a candidate, so they have no power with me.

If Gore doesn't enter, I'm voting for DK because he stands for everything we asked for last November.
