Rightwing National Review Online Offering Campaign Advice to Obama
When a somewhat racy music video of a woman with the hots for a presidential candidate causes the biggest stir in about two months, as in the case of Barack Obama recently, it’s a sign that a campaign has hit a plateau.

So how does Obama get out of his current nice-but-not-enough blahs? How does he overtake Hillary?

1. Yes, *even* right wingers hate Hillary. Why are you surprised by that?

EDIT: ahhhhh...i like this bit.

“The humility to admit when wrong, the conscience to make amends”

It’s a bit odd that the biggest gripe the antiwar crowd has with Hillary isn’t so much her view of what to do in Iraq now, so much as her steadfast refusal to apologize for her war vote. But they’ve picked their priority. Obama has ridden his antiwar stance from 2002 about as far as it can take him. Now he needs to take Hillary’s refusal to apologize — interpreted by the base as obstinacy and intractability, and compare her traits to what they hate about Bush.

3. Republicans: "We're going to lose in 2008, let's back the Dem who we could push around the most."
"We'll call Colin up and ask him to give Obama a nudge. We'll get one of McCain's guys to offer his services. Afterall, Obama likes us. He said so in his book. Once we get Obama in, it will be just like WE still run the joint!"

6. DU's "I refuse to vote for Hillary" number is up to 42%
An exaggeration, no doubt, but indicative of the ability of her supporters here to alienate others.

8. "An exaggeration" is a severe understatement.
I wonder how many of those on DU who swore they'd never vote for John Kerry actually followed through?

11. Nearly half of the voting public will never vote for her. Small room for error there.
Who among us are the political masochists, ready to vote for an all-but-certain electoral loser?

7. That's your interpretation and not in the article, right?
To be clear. This is what the piece really says:

"It’s an inside-baseball argument, but the Obama team can persuasively argue that their man increases the number of votes (and states) in play, while Hillary would be seeking the Kerry states plus Ohio, with little margin for error (and enormous voter turnout among Republicans)."

5. If you had to try to promote *that*, what would you do?
Even lipstick doesn't work on some pigs so it's easier for them to impugn, smear, and disparage the opposition.

19. If his campaign has plateau why are you so worried
Edited on Tue Jun-19-07 07:47 AM by Kingstree
You are on here everyday trying to slant a persons view. It is evidence that His campaign has not plateau. He is working with the Little people. Talking to them. Another evidence that his campaign has not plateau. Hillary is worried that she cannot pull the votes out on her own, she is trying to take Bill to Iowa to try to convenience people to vote for. She is worried and scared. Have to the people in the US will not vote for her about 30 to 40 percent of the dems will not even try to hold the breath to vote for her. She is so polarizing people are willing to look the other way. She can not pull the votes on her own.

Get over it and move on. You should be going door to door to try to get her votes, because you are not swaying anyone here on DU.

22. The media punits (mostly RW as we know) are advising Obama to start a smear campaign against Hillary
Now that idea just might get Obama the nomination - and the GOP the next Presidency as the Obama "new direction" for politics is revealed to be swiftboating.

I'd suggest Obama use his own good head - as he has to date - and reject media pundit advice.
