Gore, Bloomberg wink at 2008 rumors

NEW YORK — Al Gore and Michael Bloomberg engaged in a playful bit of name-calling Wednesday, each accusing the other of being -- shocking! -- a presidential candidate.

(snip)

Asked later about the vice president's kind words, Bloomberg returned the praise.

"People talk about Al Gore being a presidential candidate a lot more seriously than joking about me. This guy could be a presidential candidate," Bloomberg said of the 2000 Democratic nominee. "He certainly has experience ... and I hope Al Gore enters the race. I think that would be good for the country."

7. Would Gore-Bloomberg be a winning ticket?
Bloomberg may accept the #2 spot if it guaranteed winning...

I doubt Gore would do that, though. He is a true Dem.
