We need to be reminded of 9/11 again. An open letter to Rudy Giuliani.

Dear Rudy,

I don't think you have spent enough time during this campaign reminding us all about September 11th.

Remind us Rudy of just who was on watch that fateful day. Remind us once again of the person who decided to place central command in a building which was already a known terrorist target, and then watched central command get destroyed.

Remind us once again of the people who thought their master was exhibiting strong leadership when he sat and read "The Pet Goat" while the nation was under attack.

Yes Rudy we need to be reminded of 9/11, we need to be reminded of the toxic chemicals that were floating around in the air that day and we need to be reminded of the people who told the firefighters that those toxic chemicals were safe to breathe.

We need to be reminded of the people who told us that the terrorists "attacked us because they hate our freedoms" and then proceeded to take away our freedoms with the Patriot Act and an end to Habeas Corpus.

We need to be reminded that we got pulled into a war in Afghanistan which accomplished nothing. We need to be reminded that Osama bin Laden, the man we went to war to get is still on the loose. We need to be reminded of the thousands of innocent Afghani civilians who were slaughtered. We need to be reminded of the fact that the human rights conditions in Afghanistan are still miserable. We need to be reminded that the Taliban has been working at a comeback. We need to be reminded that this so called "war on terrorism" has done nothing to stop terrorism around the world.

And of course we need to be reminded of how 9/11 was used to convince us to go to war with another country that had nothing to do with 9/11. We need to be reminded of how a nation's grief was used to justify the slaughter of hundreds of thousands of Iraqis. We need to be reminded of the broken souls and the shattered limbs of those who were needlessly sent into a blood bath.

Remind us of 9/11 Rudy. Remind us of those who used the deaths of thousands of Americans to enrich their own political career. Remind of those who saw a massacre and sought to exploit that tragedy in order to give themselves enormous power.

Yes Rudy, please remind us of 9/11 and remind us of the ways you have used the deaths of thousands for your own benefit.

2. Could use a few more details - like the clearance for kindergardens to open

near Ground Zero, in spite the poisoned air - Rudy gave it because W wanted to open Wall Street. Same for the faulty communicators, the lack of patience to find all the bodies, the prancing in front of the camera, the 9.11 fund where all Rudy's cronies got plush jobs feeding of it.

I've said it before, and it bears repeating...

Whatever their degree of complicity in the actual events of 9/11, one fact stands regardless.

And that is that only a PSYCHOPATH would seek to exploit such a hideous crime to their own advantage, committing still larger crimes in the process. Difficult as it is to wrap your mind around, people need to come to terms with this central fact.
