Hillary Booed by "perhaps eight to 12 people" out of over 3000 at Take Back America Conference
Edited on Wed Jun-20-07 09:38 AM by wyldwolf
Sen. Hillary Rodham Clinton was the featured breakfast speaker this morning at the Take Back America convention that has drawn what organizers say is more than 3,000 liberal activists to the nation’s capital.

Last year the news from the Take Back America convention was the booing and jeering the New York senator received from the audience.

How big was the disgruntled group?

“I think it was about four people,’’ Rob Kall, publisher of OpEdNews.com said this morning. “I was in the front row and they were about four rows behind me. That brief incident by people not representative of the audience was used hundreds of times to attack her.’’

Kall noted that he’s not even a supporter of Clinton’s presidential campaign.

Isabelle Kanz of Peconic, on Long Island’s North Fork, estimates the jeers came from perhaps eight to 12 people.

Her assessment is the same as Kall’s. She’s convinced the media blew the incident out of proportion.

Stephen Kohler of Elizabethtown, Pa. noted, “She certainly stirs emotions, whether it’s good or bad. I think it’s mostly good this year. She has matured as a candidate.’’

This a story, why? How many would boo W - if allowed in his earshot?

18. Non-story either way. Opposite sides will do that at political events (unless
kept at a safe distance by secret service). It has no meaning. No candidate in the word is without opposition. 12, 100 - it's the nature of politics.

22. "Bubba" was right. It was a benefit for the firefighters, freepers booed (and bragged
about it on the free republic). It was totally uncalled for - due to the nature of the benefit and the fact that it was Hillary wringing some help out the scrooges in the White House - instead of Pataki, Rudi. Shame on you for celebrating this one!
I am not a Hillary supporter by a long shot, but to join freepers in the bash is a bit low.

19. Having disrupter's in the audience..
is also a common Republican dirty trick. No need to put up with that nonsense.

Move em' on out and send the disrupter's down the street a mile and a half away to a protest area..

If this nonsense is getting started this early, start the screening process and nip them in the bud.
You never know when some nutball is planted in the audience along with them..Not worth taking any chances.

Knowing Republithink, it's too coincidental with the warm reception of the novel video, they needed their usual spoiler!

How is allowing them to die supporting them? :wtf:

If she really did support them, she would support bringing them home.

Actually, not. In the last vote, she voted AGAINST Funding the war because the proposed resolution lacked a time line for bringing the Troops home. So, your accusations are way off base and seriously lacking merit.

Just what in the world do people think Hillary can do to get the Troops home any sooner, than the rest of the Dems- ?

Sen Clinton has been working on this for over 2 yrs with other Dems:

In today's world, you see something you don't like or can't support, and you "boo". I agree it's rude, but it is a statement, nonetheless.

37. I actually agree with you on this.
This is being amplified beyond it's aoriginal meaning.

But I still say that booing is not what any politician wants to hear from a crowd, no matter how few and no matter why.

I celebrate each and every time a member of the Bush regime is booed -- anywhere, any time, and for any reason. It's rude, then, too, but it is a statement.

I know peace activists who are relatively unknown nationwide (unlike Hillary) and they have received multiple death threats. The rw has that death threat tactic down. I am willing to bet Hillary gets a death threat once a week at least.

47. Yes, presidential candidates are susceptible to death threats..
I don't have a source to verify your claim of once a week, but that sounds a little large, if you ask me. Secret Service takes each and every death threat seriously and investigates them all. Peace activists fall into a similar category, where instigators can infiltrate their camps causing violence resulting in chaos and damage to the cause. But that is the whole point of the infiltrators anyway, isn't it?.. And why, I suggested having them removed from the audience immediately, the minute they becomes disruptive.
