Tax payers should not fund the destruction of human life |
|
Another brilliant quote from the man loved by idiots in justifying his veto of a bill which would provide funding for stem cell research.
I guess our troops and Iraqi's aren't human.
I'm gonna crawl out on the limb here and opine that the idiots who support bush and call themselves christian and say they are pro life will be the first in line when stem cell research cures stuff in the future.

There are few things on today's political scene more odious than the sanctimonious "pro-lifers" who are only too happy to fling death around like it was so much of their own feces.
Recommended, of course.

3. And condemned criminals aren't human, either |
|
Apparently, though, he has no qualm about the destruction of human life by withholding taxpayer money. Assuming those without health insurance, adequate housing or sufficient food are considered human by the Junta.

4. "pro life will be the first in line" |

oh, no ... i don't think they will be. they are very, very principled people.
when they or a loved one is dying and the research done on stem cells has led to a cure for their disease, I'm quite confident they will refuse to receive treatment. yes, i'm quite confident about that.
i mean, otherwise, it would be, you know, kind of hypocritical. these are very, very principled people we're talking about. no, i don't think they would be first in line. they'll just stay home and die; you'll see ...

5. Absolutely, we already see this |

when the "pro-lifers" fight to keep those convicted of murdering their loved ones off of death row. They are all very consistent. Another example is the solid anti-war stance that each and every one of them take.

right after that?
:P
He's so pathetically confused. Maybe if he would've studied more in college instead of hanging out with those Skull-n-Bones taint-lickers he might see the errors in his reasoning.

All these people are such freaking hypocrites.
Not only stem cells, but I'd venture to say that abortion falls in the same category. If their daughters happen to get pregnant by the wrong type of guy, little Ms. Skankypants goes on a family holiday which includes new clothes and a D&C procedure, done in private.

11. DailyKos has interesting quote along same lines |
|
President Bush is reportedly warming up his rarely used veto pen today to nix the Stem Cell Research Enhancement Act of 2007.
ABC -- Today President Bush prepares to issue the third veto of his presidency and his second on stem cell research on a bill that would lessen restraints on federally funded embryonic stem cell research. It's a subject that most Americans support, according to an April 2007 ABC News poll that found 68 percent of Americans support stem cell research.
Also reported by ABC, ""These boys and girls are not spare parts," President Bush said in July 2006." It's beyond tragic that the President doesn't feel the same way about the boys and girls

from Mississippi. Yes I marvel at christians tearing up at the loss of a cell but cheering wildly at someone strapped to a gurney or waving the flag as death, destruction and despair sweep Iraq.

14. You know the rich pro-lifers will be first in line for any proven therapies in other countries. |
|
While the hard-core pro-lifers will fight to prevent Americans from benefiting from therapies in the U.S. Have you been following the developments in the involving a stem cell cure for macular degeneration? We are five years away from a treatment that cures this leading cause of blindness in the elderly. I hope my FIL lives long enough to benefit from the treatment. http://www.telegraph.co.uk/earth/main.jhtml?xml=/earth/2007/06/06/sciblind106.xml

I don't know why Republican voters don't get tired of being herded around like sheep. I wonder how many of them have read up on strauss... and are clued in on the game that's being played.
