What percentage of the US population is Democratic ??? |
|
and how many are registered Republicans. And how many voters are unaffiliated. Provided that all the registered Democrats vote for the Dem nominee - that still leaves plenty of unaffiliated voters for Bloomberg, and he can take the moderate half of the GOP.
I'm guessing that 1/3 of the population is Democrat and 1/3 is Republican ??? or is it more like 40% each ???

2. There are more dems than repubs, but i dont know the real numbers. |
|
That is why whenever there is a high voter turnout, democrats win. Which is why republicans (well, the crooked ones anyway) try to keep people from voting.

4. There are more registered Democrats than Republicans |
|
The problem has been that since we do not have active parties-- Howard Dean has been working hard to change this--Democrats do not vote with the regularity as Republicans.
When there active parties in all states, winning elections should be easy for Democrats.

Almost all polls show Repuke ID in decline, while Dem ID has remained steady and Independents are becoming more numerous. Here are some digits from Ras -- http://www.rasmussenreports.com/public_content/politics/party_affiliation__5/summary_of_party_affiliation
