Poll question: Candidate Preference (First and Second Choices)
For this poll, let's consider that we can choose from only those candidates who have announced. So no Gore, Clark, etc.

Select your first and second choices. If you prefer anyone other than those listed, please click "Other" and specify if you like.

36. Sigh. One of the most under-utilized talents in the last half-century
I'd love to see him as Secretary of State or Ambassador to the U.N. under an Edwards administration.

17. I think this poll is not representative
Hillary is on top of most national polls and choices with her as first choice are not doing so well in this poll. My hope is that Edwards people have Obama as their second choice and vice versa so that one of the two will ace Hillary out when the other falters. This polls seems to bear that out, but there are so many variables it's impossible to say what will happen. Thanks for an interesting poll though.

18. 1. Hillary 2. Edwards
That is my order of liking, but to be objective Edwards would be a better chance for a win against the republican. I think Obama has good potential and might be the best candidate in 2016. Needs more seasoning.

23. 1)Kucinich, 2) Obama
Kucinich being my own choice, Obama being an "electable" candidate who I would gladly support in the GE. Too bad it looks like Florida's primary won't count, and I may have to use my "anti-Hillary" vote in the general.

24. What is interesting
Only 12 of 72 votes have Hillary as a first or second choice, although perhaps a few "other" votes were for Hillary 1 or 2 but they didn't state so. Regardless, despite all the Hillary supporter's bluster - she doesn't appear to have much support from the Democratic "base", and without that is unelectable. I don't care how much triangulating and pandering she does to the indies and Republiks - if she's alienating 70% of the Democrats she can't win the GE.

But I know this is wishful thinking at this point, and outside the rules.
Even so, I don't even want to start speculating at this point, if I can't
"have my druthers," as we say back home.
