Lieberman Holds Fundraiser For Republican Collins Tonight
Joe Lieberman, whom Bloomberg campaigned for last year -- holds a fundraiser in DC tonight for moderate GOP Sen. Susan Collins (R), who likely will face a tough re-election fight next year. To poke their nemesis Lieberman in the eye, liberal MoveOn yesterday issued a press release stating that its members had raised $350,000 for likely Collins opponent Tom Allen (D), freshman Rep. Patrick Murphy, and MoveOn's Iraq campaign.

As if I needed another reason to loathe this POS.

2. Unfortunately, until we get another senate seat, he can be a player - at least
many who matters see him this way.(Zell played this game once)
Mind you, for him to win that race - he had behind him BOTH party machines vs the people - he is the embodiment of what's wrong with our political system.

10. Not to the same extent. There it was GOP stealing it from the Dems.
But on Lieberman - open collusion. PNAC has people on both sides of the isle. Including in the 2008 race.

11. I don't think he'll run. But he wants to be a player with his money - like he
obviously was for Joementum.
In his first primaries for Mayor (70 million cost), he had an opponent whom he effectively starved of cash by telling contributors: do you really want to go against me?"His second purchase of the mayoralty cost him over 100 million. Against the weakest candidate the MSM picked for him for the Dems. less people voted than the last time, yet the media called it a landslide.(while criticizing Corzine for lots of spending!)
The guy's grip on the MSM is more solid than W's (he owns it outright).
Many New Yorkers are oblivious to his evil - even on DU I see him praised occasionally.
If in doubt about his loyalties, remember: he invited the RNC convention in NYC, endorsed the police spying on the protesters, opposed our right to congregate in central Park.

8. Will that POS campaign for Orrin Hatch next?
Or Ted Stevens. Let's see how many of the RW whackjob senators Holy Joe will endorse and still stay "independent".

12. She is not a moderate!
Arianna should know better than to call her one.

Collins once said she would never vote against Bush's wishes. And she usually doesn't - when it counts. Sure, she votes against her party when the votes are on her side but rarely when it counts.

If you want to help fight this fundraiser you can donate to Tom's campaign: https://services.myngp.com/ngponlineservices/contribution.aspx?X=tnlqW%2bcHzJx62qhTDXDY4w%3d%3d&m=tomallen

Thank you so much!

13. I just hope this crazy man does not
decide to change and join the repub. What I want to happen is that in the election of 08 the Dems gain 5 to 7 seats in the Senate and then come January of 09 whomever is the majority leader tells CrazyJoe he is being striped of his chairmanship and he can now go and vote with the losers...Maybe a strong Dem will appear and run against Collins and the Dems will support this candidate....
I do thank you
Ben David

Everytime this vile piece of waste is mentioned in the M$M as the "Senator from Connecticut", I hang my head in shame and embarrassment.

According to articles on the net.

Evidently the two are pretty chummy. =BARF=
