The new bash HRC meme -
OMG - them wimmins are trying to RUN EVERYTHING!

We couldn't possibly elect a woman - especially since she has - gasp! - women advisors around her.

Don't you know women should submit themselves to their husbands? To be subservient? To keep quiet in the presence of men? To defer all decision-making to the menfolk 'cause their poor little ol' girly brains just aren't designed to do anything other than birthin' and cookin' and cleanin' and all.

What if she goes through PMS or the menopause while she's in office? Why she might start a war or something! She'd be spending so much time decorating and stuff she'd have no time to be Prezident.

Besides, what the hell would we call Bill?

1. "What the hell would we call Bill?"
Edited on Thu Jun-21-07 08:29 PM by BattyDem
That could be interesting. Would you call him the "First Gentleman" or would you continue to call him "former President?"

Imagine the press coverage ...

"President Clinton, who is the former First Lady, and former President Clinton, who is the current First Gentleman, arrived in Washington today ..."

Uh - excuse me.

I don't work for her.

I don't work for anyone, actually.

I've stated repeatedly that I'd love to see Gore, Clark, Obama, and Edwards in the Whitehouse.

I"M the one who's been bitching about all of the candidate bashing going on around here. I try very hard to beat it down whereever I find it. I'm not FOR Hillary anymore than I am FOR any of the others.

I think any one of them would make a great President.

Would I like to see a woman win? Of course. It's about damn time, don't you think? Of course, I'd also dearly love to see another minority win as well. I think it would be absolutely wonderful for this country to finally elect someone other than an "old white guy". However, I don't think that makes any of the other candidates "poor choices" - I still think they're great choices. And will support whoever wins the nomination.

Now, please apologize. I should think you'd know who I am by now. If not, come on over to the Lounge and lets get acquainted. 'k?

12. And you don't think supporters of other candidates have been doing the same thing on here?
Why all the hatred towards Hillary and her supporters when the Obama, Kucinich, et al supporters have been doing the same things on here?

And really, I don't think the original poster meant this to be some sort of paid advertisement for Hillary (and even if they did, so what?)

I suspect they may have been responding to the "Hillaryland" article in the Washington Post today, in which there was a lot of talk about all the women advisers around Hillary, etc.

7. I'm FOR ALL OF THEM!
I wish people would understand that. I'm not against any of the candidates. I'm for whoever is the Dem Nominee. I'm for whoever the hell isn't a PUB, basically. :D

Haven't you noticed all of the 'lookit all them women' posts tonight? ANd the insinuations? It's pretty sickening.

I think ALL of the bashing is sickening and have been trying to call everyone on it.

I'd love to see a pact between those of us who refuse to bash to work as a team to ferret out the bashers. REgardless of who their candidate is - or isn't. I think most of those guys are freakin' trolls.

Really? Are we at such an equal standard that you cannot hype women in the campaign? :banghead:

It's like to some, it's not okay to have a bunch of women in a campaign. Women have so far to go, yet some just want to hold them back.

14. I am undecided, but although I won't be voting for Senator Clinton in the primaries
I will not trash or bash her because that is not productive in the long run. Although Democrats bashing Democrats has become a popular sport, I'll pass. That's a job for Republicans. If Senator Clinton is our nominee, she will get my vote in the general election because any Democrat is better than any Republican.

17. EXACTLY!
I don't understand the whole bashing thing.

The whole tear down the DEM thing.

It's hard to believe that these are Democrats doing this to our own people. Whether they agree with them or not on all issues.

Heck, I don't agree with ANYONE on 100% of the issues.

back when Geraldine Ferraro ran for VP.

I think a "hormonal" sane female is much preferable to the psychotic @ss inhabiting the WhiteHouse now, don't you think?
