THIS...is the leader of the free world.
THIS is our President.
THIS is the face that we present as the face of the United States.
THIS is who we send to sit with other world leaders.
THIS is the man who has access to the codes that could launch the missiles that may destroy IRAN and who knows who else.
THIS is the man that makes life and death decisions such as the recent stem cell research veto.
THIS IS WHO IS IN CHARGE.

God, I am so scared.
I snagged this from a previous post, and to that person I say to you...
I don't know where you got this picture from, but it's going to keep me up all night long.
Thanks for showing us the truth.
I applaud you.

2. OMG ..... Look at this one ---> You won't believe his expression!!!!

U.S. President George W. Bush (L) walks with U.S. state governors, who just returned from an Easter celebration trip to Iraq, at the White House in Washington, April 19, 2006. Gov. Mitch Daniels (R-IN) is in the middle and Gov. Joe Manchin III (D-WVA) is on the right.

7. "Leader of the Free World" is such a stupid, arrogant, America-centric term
that I can barely fucking stand it. First of all, it is US Cold-War era propaganda, whereby the so-called "free world" (which is to say, NATO bloc nations) face off against the so-called "non-free world" (that is, Warsaw Pact countries). The so-called "Third World" serves as the arena of ideological struggle in this dated and obnoxious little melodrama. Then, to add arrogance to this stupidity, the US President becomes the "leader" of the "free world." Well fuck you very much, from the standpoint of alliance.

There is no "free world." Only global hegemonic capitalist space enveloping the globe, with its internal insurrections and temporary autonomous zones.

There is no "leader of the free world," because there is no "leader" in imperial space, only spheres of control and connection.

8. I'm with you on that one, though I don't think the OP meant it literally
I also uber-hate it when someone says the President "runs the country."

1/3 of the power of the federal government of the U.S. which government also shares power with the state governments, does not "run the country" and is not the "leader of the free world."

The OPs point of his being the "face" of our country is true though, in a certain way.

how did you escape the brain-washing? Have a habit of THINKING FOR YOURSELF and some intellegence. Just the qualities those in power don't want you to express!

12. What Is So Disturbing About THESE Pictures Is That Absolutely NOTHING
is being done to stop this most EVIL OF MEN!! I have been trying NOT to check out the "daily news" simply because it's driving me too CRAZY! I don't know how much longer I can take it myself as I see this nation fall further apart. We have become people united ONLY by what we are posting on the blogs, IMO!

Perhaps my view is much too jaded, however I've been in the trenches trying to make change and seem to end up back in the same place where I simply want to scream! And looking at pictures and seeing this man makes me even more sick and tired of what this country has become.

I'm so depressed and upset most of the time that all I want to do is go back to bed and pull the covers over my head and hide! I am truly afraid of what will be exposed each day I get up. Our nation is a Republic, but has called itself a Democracy... I no longer see much Democracy going on. It's money and cheaters who have taken over and "We The People" who continue to watch it crumble away!

Sorry, haven't checked in at any of the news or blogs for quite a few days, but NOTHING has changed very much... just more bad news and name calling. I long since stopped hoping for much and have become far too cynical to feel that we will be able to recover from this morass of ruin that we live in. At least not in my lifetime! I'm seriously thinking that I'm one who should simply STOP being concerned much longer. I've been an Edwards supporter for sometime now, but I'm afraid that the 2008 Democratic nominee has already been chosen and any voice I once had is of no importance.

When people have set themselves up as dictators and snub their noses at any notion of following the constitution, we as Americans are in serious serious trouble. I wish I could stop worrying about what will happen, and I wish I could stop the degradation. Regardless of who makes ANY kind of statement about ANYTHING, it gets nitpicked to death and NOTHING gets done.

I know one thing for sure, I CAN'T STAND to even look at this person whether it's a picture or on TV... I just want to barf or do something much worse!
