Just had a chat with my Republican step mom
She's a dear woman and we rarely speak of politics (we mostly agree to disagree) but she is horrified with her choices for President. We discussed the abysmal state of foreign affairs, the deficit and touched on Health Care and poverty.

she ended up saying "Guess I'll be a Democrat in '08"

:bounce:

1. One at a time.........
Americans are waking up. I swear it's the case. Frankly, most Americans are much further left than the presidential candidates.

3. This is no longer about left or right politics but of saving the U.S. Constitution
....and our liberties as individuals for 85% of Americans who are about to become enslaved by corporate fascism. This is what people have to wake up to.

5. In that case, she should be a Dem anyway. Look at the past 30 years of
govt. Dems are the one who work on the budget and deficit.

6. I think she's finally starting to see that...
with a slight bit of 'educating' from her loving step daughter

She hated the Big Dog with a passion, but she even admitted today he'd be helpful as an "Ambassador at Large"

8. Stories like this are why I don't think it will be close in '08
The choices the pukes have are not good. That bunch is truly bad, with a capital B. But, regardless, Jesus Christ would have a hard time running with chimpie's record and the record of the late, unlamented puke congress. '08 is not the time to be a puke.
